  • Awesome Girly Weekend Getaway!

"My sister-in-law and I stayed at Country View Cottage for the weekend and had a great time. The outside of the cottage doesn't prepare you for the beautifully decorated inside! Very modern with granite counters in the kitchen, comfy couch and loveseat in the living room and very comfortable beds! I had read that the pillows left something to be desired and was disappointed when I found that I had forgotten to bring mine, but found that the pillows were great! The only drawback for us was that we rented a movie when we were in town and got back to find that there wasn't a DVD player...we found a suitable chick flick on cable and were good to go with the lovely bottle of wine that the owners so generously left as a welcome gift! I've stayed in a lot of VRBO places, and this is a first! Very nice touch indeed! The weather was great, the view was great, we played Bocci Ball across the street and had an amazing time eating and shopping in both Carlton and McMinnville. We would both highly recommend Country View Cottage and already plan to make this a yearly destination for our girly weekend getaway! This place is super clean to boot...a high priority for me! Thanks for making our stay wonderful and relaxing!"

  • 4th Anniversary Bliss

"We were looking for someplace close to home that had that "vacation" feel to spend our 4th wedding anniversary. We found that, and more, at the Riverhaus! Kathy was there to greet us and show us around the beautiful, slice of paradise that her and Gregg have created for their guests. The amenities were above and beyond; the view of the river relaxing and serene. We even took some time to enjoy the beautiful pool table in the barn ... that was fun! Being a photographer of nature, there was opportunity for some amazing pictures with bald eagles, and other birds everywhere. We got a great sunset and even a small rain which was refreshing. We are very pleased that we found this gem and plan on going back. Thank you Gregg and Kathy for the experience!"

  • Wine Tasting Home Base

"We enjoyed three nights with two couples at Vineyard Ridge. The website photos are very accurate and the amenities were exactly what we needed. It was a relaxing and secluded base in the middle of the Dundee Hills. Wine tastings were easy to reach with a short drive. The house is down a gravel road, but you would have a hard time finding that view and seclusion if the road were paved. The pond is beautiful with a bunch of noisy frogs. We drowned them out by turning the fan on at bedtime. We grilled one night and everything worked perfectly. We cannot wait to return!!"

  • Better than expected!

"What a wonderful surprise this little place was! It is so cozy and comfortable, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the river...well, that is the icing on the cake. The owners are warm and friendly and it's obvious they love where they live. Everything is so well taken care of inside and out. Sitting in the upstairs "viewing" room was very relaxing, as well as sitting outside, looking out over the McKenzie. We saw lots of fish jumping, a beaver pulling a couple of branches upstream, a myriad of birds including a beautiful osprey, three deer who visited one evening, and a nutria crossing the river. One of the best things was being so close to Springfield/Eugene, but feeling like you're so far away from the noise and busy-ness of the city. Simply beautiful! We will return, and we urge others to give it a try. You won't be disappointed at all!"
