"My Green Valley is a very special place. We stayed at Sophronia Cottage and it was just perfect for a quiet family get away. Beautiful property and the Cottage was thoughtfully equipped and sweetly decorated. We loved every moment. We loved it so much, we're coming back in the summer. Enjoy!"

"14 members of our family from age 54 years to 10 months stayed for a getaway weekend. The place was great. Well maintained, well stocked and everything in working order. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone seeking a relaxing getaway. Plenty of space and the Friday night snow made the property that much more beautiful!"

"This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! The kitchen is open to the pool table and there is ample seating around the center island for watching the chef. The hot tub was fantastic after a day of hiking and kayaking on the lake. The lake is just a short walk down a wooded country lane. We would definitely come back! Although we did not bring a dog, the house was perfect for a couple/family traveling with their family pet! The owners were very friendly and helpful!"

"Completely as described in the listing, the cozy house is part of a farm. Liza was available (next door) to answer questions, but we had complete privacy. All pots, pans, utensils, and baking needs were found in the kitchen, which is a rarity in my experience with vacation rentals. Got the impression it was an old house but nicely and completely renovated within the past 10 years. All appliances and bathrooms were modern and working perfect. I'm not usually a fan of country decor, but this was more authentic looking, with lots of browns, rusty reds, and faded blues. Not kitchy or cute.
Husband is a history buff, so very much enjoyed nearby Fort Bedford Museum and the recreated old village. Ate out most lunches and some dinners, and the Jean Something Tavern west of Bedford on Rt 30 was our favorite. I enjoyed the antiques in town and coverlet museum. The 2 state parks were great, too. There are several (20?) picturesque covered bridges in the area, and one was an easy walk from the home. There are 2 great summer ice cream places on the main road -- the cow and the igloo.
Would recommend this to a friend who wanted a fairly low-key vacation with plenty of time to relax."
