  • Peace and Quiet

"Great place to stay. Very peaceful. Close to Trough Creek State Park and Raystown Lake where their is hiking, biking, boating, fishing and swimming. There is also a place for horses but we are not horse owners."

  • PSU Football lodging

"This was our second stay at Laurel Woods. The house is always clean and it has plenty of space for our group. Dianne is very organized and is always ready to help with any questions. We use this house as a place to stay for Penn State football games as it is about 50 minutes from State College. We will be staying again."

  • Wonderful relaxing getaway weekend

"My husband and I (and our 2 dogs) just returned from a weekend at Wood Cliff Cabin. We were delighted to walk in and see the beautiful craftsmanship of the cabin. The cabin fit all of our needs for a simple rejuvenating weekend including a comfortable loft bed, bed and bath linens, fridge, stove/oven, kitchen utensils, outdoor grill and stereo system. We were delighted to also find brochures of the area, games, books, and CDs. We spent much time drinking wine and reading or playing card games on the patio overlooking the gorgeous scenery and listening to the creek below. Though a steep climb to and from, we enjoyed taking our pups down to the water to play and swim. They would say that was their favorite part of the weekend, and their least favorite part was not being able to lay in bed due to it being lofted (a step ladder is next to the bed for people to use to climb up). We enjoyed the secluded feel of the cabin and using the Kubota to get to and from our car. The toilet and shower are located in the bath house just a few feet from the main cabin. The shower is small and requires directions to turn on the water, propane, etc. before showering and the toilet is compostable and can occasionally give off an odor, but they serve their purpose and can be overlooked since they add to the simplistic outdoorsy/camping feel of the property. There is no AC and the use of electric is limited, but there is plenty of space to charge up your cell phone or kindle and plug in the fan. We also found it cooled down nicely in the evenings and with the windows open we did not miss having AC. There is heat in the cabin and a sauna in the bath house for the cooler months- we will have to come back to try them! If you are looking for a place to unplug, rest, relax, spend time alone or with your partner, and enjoy nature, this is the place for you! Perfect for a long weekend to get away from the stresses of work and home life."

  • Great Time For The Bachelor Party

"I took a group of 12 of us up there for the weekend and we had a great time!! The cabin was clean. There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep. It was very secluded so we could make as much noise as we wanted. The kitchen and grill were really nice, and the fire pit was great to sit around. The only downfalls of the cabin were the road getting up is very rocky. However I have a tiny car and did not bottom out on the way up so all was well. Second thing was there was alot of mud and water in the horse pit area. However there was a ton rain leading up to that weekend so that most likely was the reason. I definitely plan on renting this place again."
