  • PSU Football lodging

"This was our second stay at Laurel Woods. The house is always clean and it has plenty of space for our group. Dianne is very organized and is always ready to help with any questions. We use this house as a place to stay for Penn State football games as it is about 50 minutes from State College. We will be staying again."

  • Fall Mountain Bike Weekend

"My Otter Place is the perfect rental for a mountain bike weekend. Easy ride directly from the house to the Alligrippis trails. House is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of room to hang out. Dinner at Boxers in Huntingdon is a must after a long ride."

  • Five Times At The Drooly Bear!

"Our latest visit to the Drooly Bear was our fifth. We return because we enjoy the house, its amenities, and the location—not far from Raystown Lake and Trough Creek State in central Pennsylvania where we hike, picnic and simply enjoy the wonderful scenery. Our beagle Emma enjoys long walks on the many trails of Trough Creek State Park. We have visited the Drooly Bear every season of the year but particularly enjoy the autumn. The foliage is breathtaking. The house has everything we need to cook, rest, work, and relax. The newest addition is Internet access and Netflix-- welcome and necessary conveniences today, but there’s also a large collection of DVDs. There are grocery stores nearby but we choose to bring everything we need so we don’t have to drive anywhere. The Drooly Bear has comfortable beds, lounge chairs, utensils, a spacious kitchen, a variety of cooking spices, pots and pans, glassware, and enough space to enjoy each other’s company or escape for a nap or to work. A huge front and side porch is a great place to sit and unwind. There’s also a gas grill for barbecuing. Matt is an excellent host. He’s made the Drooly Bear cozy and inviting. He is accessible 24/7 to answer questions and solve any problems. We’ll keep returning to the Drooly Bear because it’s a comfortable and enjoyable hideaway in the best part of scenic Pennsylvania."

  • very relaxing long weekend..

"My family of 6 stay here and we had a very relaxing time. Very seclude and private. The only small issue was, which for me whats not an issue at all. But my twin boys 9, didn't like 1960 model TV they had at the house. Other than that kids and mom had a nice time."
