"We had a wonderful weekend there and, upon entering the door, realized we wished we had made our reservation for a longer time. The home is designed beautifully, all furniture is very comfortable, it is well cared for, and had many features. We especially liked the various areas where different groups could go if they wished to have separate space, as well as common areas where everyone could enjoy one another's company. The back porch with the fireplace is amazing and has a beautiful backdrop of scenic mountains in the distance. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen areas are excellent as is the basement area with the pool table. The home is private and close to the lake and trails. Before, during, and after the trip, owner Larry was most helpful and accessible. We highly recommend this home!"

"We were last at the Hideout 5 years ago and were so happy to come back. There were 11 family members ages 16 months to 67 years and we can wholeheartedly say " a good time was had by all! " It was so nice to have the beds clean and ready with an adequate supply of towels and all basic supplies. The layout of the house works so well for our varied families and needs ( naps to rousing Ping-Pong games! ). The peaceful setting refreshed us all. We're looking forward to next year!"

"My friends and I were looking for a place to get away from it all for a weekend and this place was perfect for that. It was a fairly secluded house with only one far away neighbor in sight. The interior was very comfortable. We particularly liked the wood burning stove. The interior was fairly well maintained with only a few minor repairs needed. The exterior was pretty with a wrap around porch and a swing. The owner was very nice and was easy to work with. The last half mile to the house is very rough with rocks and steep hills. However we were able to make it easily even with our small car. However, I would guess you would need a 4x4 if there was a lot of snow.
I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to escape to the woods for a few days."
