"So comfortable, nicely appointed with a perfect remoteness. We could almost touch the stars. Amazingly we ate out on the deck and there were no insects. It was so relaxing even our 5yr old granddaughter did not ask to turn on the TV. True getaway."

"My family and I enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in a beautiful location! There was plenty of open yard space for my grandsons to play in and the fire pit was a hit for making S'mores! The community pond is very pretty and my youngest grandson caught a few fish and spotted numerous frogs. There is a path around the pond that we used for early morning walks or runs. (the path is lighted so it could be used in the evening as well) A few of the highlights of our trip included: the beach at Seven Points Marina, feeding the fish at the Marina, paddle-boarding, going to Wild River Waterpark at Lake Raystown Resort, Del Grosso's Amusement Park, taking a dinner cruise on the Proud Mary Showboat, and seeing a sunset from the Hawn/Ridenour Overlook. About a 20 minute drive from the house there is a small shopping center with a Walmart and a Dollar Tree. There is also a newly opened Sheetz gas/convenience store near the Walmart. Jeff is friendly and very easy to communicate with through emails or phone. We definitely recommend My Otter Place and would definitely would come back."

"We were last at the Hideout 5 years ago and were so happy to come back. There were 11 family members ages 16 months to 67 years and we can wholeheartedly say " a good time was had by all! " It was so nice to have the beds clean and ready with an adequate supply of towels and all basic supplies. The layout of the house works so well for our varied families and needs ( naps to rousing Ping-Pong games! ). The peaceful setting refreshed us all. We're looking forward to next year!"

"We have stayed at the Trough Creek Lodge twice now. Each stay was very comfortable with plenty of space for the families in our group. We had several days with rain, but there was plenty to keep kids entertained in the lodge without going outside (ping pong, pool, foosball, board and card games, movies) and plenty of areas for adults to enjoy their own space (back porch). The lodge is very close to numerous places for outdoor adventures of fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking. Our group has already scheduled our third stay for next year."
