"We have stayed at the Trough Creek Lodge twice now. Each stay was very comfortable with plenty of space for the families in our group. We had several days with rain, but there was plenty to keep kids entertained in the lodge without going outside (ping pong, pool, foosball, board and card games, movies) and plenty of areas for adults to enjoy their own space (back porch). The lodge is very close to numerous places for outdoor adventures of fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking. Our group has already scheduled our third stay for next year."

"We stayed at Green Valley for two nights after our wedding. It worked out to be almost exactly halfway between Pittsburgh (where we were married) and Philadelphia (where we live). It was honestly the perfect little honeymoon getaway. Francena Cottage completely exceeded our expectations - everything was neat and very clean, the furnishings are very nice and modern, and everything is right where you want it. It feels like a cross between a cottage in the woods and a decent hotel room. It's comfortable but very modern and warm! We went to a local place to pick up sandwiches the first night, and enjoyed a quick trip to Berkeley Springs the following day to pick up supplies for dinner and explore. I have stayed in a lot of cabins and cottages over the years, and it is really hard to find a place where you are comfortable making a full meal. My husband and I really enjoy cooking, and could have easily made meals here all week. We also found time to soak in the hot tub (while checking out the stars), we explored some of the trails around the property and biked to the lake where we took a sunset paddle boat ride. I took a dip, but it was still a bit cold for me to swim in the lake, but that's what the hot tub is for! On our way home, we explored many of the historic sites along the C&O Canal. I haven't been able to stop raving about the cottage and how peaceful everything was since we have gotten back. I also have to add how nice the owner is to work with. We accidentally forgot my husbands tuxedo on our way out, and she graciously shipped it back to us. I'm already encouraging my family and friends to pick a weekend we can return soon!"

"Our stay was great! Being away from all of the noise and rush of the world. We made took a trip to the abandoned section of the turnpike in Breezewood and also went tubing! We would most definitely stay here again as we had a great time in this more than comfortable home."
