  • fantastic!

"This place was terrific. Much bigger than I thought and it was very cozy. The river in the backyard was beautiful too. Highly recommend."

  • A wonderful Christmas!

"We decided to bring our 9 yr old, autistic son here for the holidays to get him away from stress and drama, and stayed for 8 days. What a wonderful decision that was! The cabin was absolutely beautiful! At first we weren't sure how he would handle the change away from the rest of the family for the holidays and thought not being in a familiar place wouldn't go well for him. After the first two days, we were worried that our getaway was a bad idea, as he seemed to have so much trouble adjusting. Suddenly on the third day he just transformed! We haven't seen him so calm and relaxed since he was a toddler! He kept commenting on how quiet it was there and how comfortable and peaceful he felt. Now he wants to come back EVERY year to do this. He said he much preferred this year to the commotion of the family get togethers and says he had the best time EVER! We stayed at the cabin all 8 days and I can say I still didn't want to leave! There was so much to do! We played board games from morning till night, watched movies, had smores, went for a nature walks, played foosball and ping pong, (Mom and Dad baked a private batch of cookies while son was in bed and enjoyed a batch of hot cookies by the fire all to ourselves :) ) and then we did a family cookie baking session the next day (we had to... there weren't any left from the night before. LOL)! We even made pancakes three times while we were there! We played the game cube Scooby game as a family and laughed and talked, read books and relaxed. It was like a treasure hunt, every time we looked in a new drawer or cupboard, we found new movies or more activities stashed away! It was so much fun just exploring the cabin! We cooked our dinners for the entire trip, and put them in the freezer the week before we left, so each night I just pulled one out of the freezer and popped it in the oven! Presto, a stress free dinner! The Christmas decorations they put up were beautiful and everything we needed was right there and more! We definitely over packed not realizing just how much was already there. Really hope we can come back again! I'd love to see it in ALL seasons! This place worked miracles on our family and our holiday. I can't remember ever having a holiday this nice! Thank you so much for sharing it with us!"

  • Great Time For The Bachelor Party

"I took a group of 12 of us up there for the weekend and we had a great time!! The cabin was clean. There was more than enough room for everyone to sleep. It was very secluded so we could make as much noise as we wanted. The kitchen and grill were really nice, and the fire pit was great to sit around. The only downfalls of the cabin were the road getting up is very rocky. However I have a tiny car and did not bottom out on the way up so all was well. Second thing was there was alot of mud and water in the horse pit area. However there was a ton rain leading up to that weekend so that most likely was the reason. I definitely plan on renting this place again."

  • Great house in the woods

"My friends and I were looking for a place to get away from it all for a weekend and this place was perfect for that. It was a fairly secluded house with only one far away neighbor in sight. The interior was very comfortable. We particularly liked the wood burning stove. The interior was fairly well maintained with only a few minor repairs needed. The exterior was pretty with a wrap around porch and a swing. The owner was very nice and was easy to work with. The last half mile to the house is very rough with rocks and steep hills. However we were able to make it easily even with our small car. However, I would guess you would need a 4x4 if there was a lot of snow. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to escape to the woods for a few days."
