  • Perfect country vacation house

"This house was perfect for our group of 9. We had more than enough room for all of us. My toddler appreciated the toys provided. The view in the backyard is amazing. It is a short drive to Amish stores and restaurants. There is some street noise from cars and carriages but it didn't bother us. We hope to make it back to PA soon and would definitely stay here again!!"

  • We loved it!

"We had a wonderful time. So much fun that I'm actually looking at the availability calendar right now! The Hideaway is lovely. My girls loved it too. They're 5 & 3 and kept asking to go back to Fan's house while we were out and about. Cooper is super sweet too. Lovely home, well maintained, and they have everything you could possibly need. Extra linens and towels were provided as well as cups, plates, cutlery. I'm 38 and have been coming to Lancaster since I was a child. After staying here, I won't stay anywhere else when in the area!"

Intercourse Travel Tips

Intercourse Vacation Rentals in the Heart of Dutch Country

Intercourse is a village in the heart of Dutch Country, Pennsylvania. It is a place where the native Amish and locals host thousands of visitors a year. People who stay in Intercourse lodging are there for the friendly environment and old world charm of the village. Booths of beautiful craftsmanship line the streets offering items for sale and the opportunity to watch talented individuals working hard at their trade, making it a virtual guarantee that you will likely leave Intercourse vacation rentals with a one-of-a-kind item to show off at home.

Intercourse Lodging and Activities

There is more to do when staying in Intercourse vacation rentals than shopping the many booths and stores. Several local farmers offer buggy rides to the public for a fun way to see the countryside. Visitors can also take a tour of Amish Country homesteads in the area. Visit smaller areas like Kitchen Kettle Village to sample fantastic home-cooked comfort foods. Visit the Intercourse Canning Company or Pretzel Factory to watch more trades in action. Quilt lovers will enjoy The People's Place Quilt Museum. There's even a "French Country Spa" available for a relaxing afternoon of pampering or the Amish Experience Theater for those that enjoy the arts.

More Activities from Dutch Country Cottages

Being in the heart of Dutch Country offers the opportunity to experience many new things. In addition to learning about and experiencing the life and craftsmanship of the Amish that live in the area, you can take a balloon ride for a new view of the countryside or visit the five acre corn maze at Cherry Crest Adventure Farm each fall. Families will enjoy the Choo Choo Barn at Traintown USA and activities at the Carlisle Sports Emporium. From Dutch Country cottages you can visit Mt. Gretna Lake, find a place to play miniature golf or take a train ride through Amish Country.
