Beautiful, relaxing country getaway near Lancaster
"This was the perfect place for our weekend family trip. The setting was incredibly relaxing, and the hosts, Dan and Sara and their children, were very gracious. The apartment is very clean, nicely decorated, and makes one feel instantly at home. The surrounding property is gorgeous with farmland, horses, chickens, and goats. The breakfast provided was great and included some very delicious homemade bread. The location of the property was also a good starting point for seeing some of the sites in the area. It was a close drive to the action but far enough away you get to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. Our children especially had fun playing with the Stoltzfus’ children. They were excited to make new friends and help feed the chickens. It was cute to watch them play with the new kitten and puppy. Overall the trip was very memorable. We are already thinking of when we can go back. A very special thank you to the kids for making our children feel so much at home. Everyone had a really great time! I would definitely recommend this property for a family or small group (up to 6 or 8 people). This is a much better, more relaxing choice than a hotel if you are planning trip to Lancaster. Until next time! Thank you."

"We absolutely loved our stay at this little cottage! Complete with beautiful secluded surroundings, fireflies in the evening and a rocking chair on the front porch it was a perfect relaxing location to enjoy beautiful Pennsylvania. We loved the charming interior and feeling like we were living in a piece of history (but with modern amenities!) There was fresh bread, fruit, butter, eggs and milk for us on our arrival-so thoughtful as we arrived late and hadn't been to the store. We loved our time here and wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful place with our family of seven!"

"We spent the last five wonderful days here with our children and grandchildren. Lee and Cynthia have thought of everything! The home was everything the reviews say it is! We especially loved the patio and swing out back. The kids loved playing in the beautiful yard. The brownies they left for us were delicious and the lovely necklace they gave me is stunning. I would return here in a heartbeat!"

"Wow! I almost hesitate to write a review for this property because, quite frankly, I would like the house all to myself - all summer long! I'm not even sure where to begin! The house was very clean. It was extremely comfortable. Tons of seating in various rooms. It was beautifully decorated. My husband and I felt like we were reading a Motivational Book as we went from room to room each morning. Thousands of sayings and advice adorned each wall. How uplifting to read those words every second of every day! As mentioned in other reviews, there are TONS of (plush) bath towels and beach towels! We found the bed very comfortable. Kind of a vacation novice, I found that Nancy had EVERYTHING I could have ever wanted at the house. I didn't think of paper towels, toilet paper, etc. She had the first rolls of each of those there for our use. That worked out just fine for the two of us. While we did go to the grocery store, Nancy also made us feel welcome to use little things such as a dash of a spice or a Tablespoon of BBQ sauce in her refrigerator. We also felt free to use a dishwasher tablet and dish detergent as well as laundry detergent (THANK YOU). Extremely convenient! Nancy's counter tops had everything from a coffee pot to a milkshake maker! Her cupboards and drawers were filled to the brim with anything and everything you could want. She even had disposable items (silverware, napkins, etc.) out for our use, if we had needed them. How kind and thoughtful! There were TONS of great books as well as wonderful movies (for kids and adults). We loved the upstairs deck off the bedrooms ... and, as much as we loved the inside of the house, our favorite part of the vacation home was the outside! First of all, the views were completely breathtaking! Completely relaxing! The tennis court ON SITE could not be beat! Talk about convenience! I was a little worried when Nancy told me that the in-ground pool was not heated, as the summer in PA this year has not been very hot. The pool felt amazing. The water was 79 degrees. It was delightful, the perfect temperature. There were even rafts to be used, if desired. I could have stayed in the pool all day! We took turns sitting in the variety of chairs on the deck ... some under cover ... some out in the sun. Some at a table, some with a foot-rest. Wow, were we comfortable! We also found a fire pit at the edge of the property and enjoyed a fire one night! With no hesitation, I highly recommend this house!"
