  • Feels like home!

"How wonderful to stay away from the confined spaces of a hotel room. With small children to entertain I welcomed the large spaces and beautiful yard for them to play. They also enjoyed the swing set. Cookie is so kind, definitely the type of person that is a pleasure to work with when traveling! Thanks again!"

  • Everthing was as promised

"We had planned to meet with our adult children someplace convenient for them to drive from New York City--we were having trouble setting a time and location so we got a very late start. When we saw the description and pictures of this place, it was our first choice. We contacted the Owner, there were some potential problems due to our late notice but she quickly worked through them and our reservation was confirmed. She really went the "extra mile" to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We truly enjoyed the property. There were six of us and we had plenty of personal space and group space. There are a number of excellent State Parks close. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Mercersburg Travel Tips

Mercersburg Vacation Rentals in a Quiet Atmosphere

Mercersburg vacation rentals will put you in a great location, but provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Mercersburg, with a population of just over 1,500 counted in the 2000 census, is packed with friendly people and small town charm. Little shops and restaurants dot the streets for you to explore. You can also visit the famous Mercersburg Academy, a college-preparatory school established in the late 18th century. Famous graduates of the academy include actors Jimmy Stewart, Benicio del Toro and John Hamilton, as well as four recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor, seven Rhodes scholars, and one Nobel laureate.

Mercersburg Lodging Near City Activities

If you want to take in a bit of city life, then Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is just over an hour from Mercersburg lodging. Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania, offering several activities and attractions for visitors. You can go shopping at Crown Plaza, watch a game at City Island, take in the view from Mulberry Street Bridge or view exhibits at the Art Associate of Harrisburg.
