  • Pleasant Experience

"We enjoyed our month stay here and plan on returning next year. All amenities were furnished and the condo was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed my mornings watching the wildlife in the forest behind the house. Thank you John for sharing your home with us!"

"My husband and I stayed at Marys basement apt the first 3 nights because her other room was rented. We we're pleasantly surprised at how spaciousness it was. Private entrance and plenty of light from widows. The next 5 nights we stayed in the room above her garage. It was so nice. All the amenities of a motel room but so much better. It's located in a beautiful Amish setting yet from all the quaint little towns. Mary was the type of person you feel like you've known your whole life. We would definitely recommend her rental for a peaceful getaway!"

  • Tears of Joy

"When we walked in the Front Door my Wife teared up, do I need to say more. This little Cabin has the feel of being 1,000 miles away from anything, but in reality it is not really that far from most anything in the area. This Cabin does not have some things that most have, such as a Oven and the Fridge is small, but knowing this upfront you can prepare. The Hot Tub was great after a long day out touring the area. Lisa was great at taking care of any questions we had when we set up the reservation. You will not see Lisa or Merv unless you go see them and their Home is just a short walk up the lane from the Cabin. We only spoke to Merv the night before we left when we went up to let them know how much we loved our Stay. If we ever make it back to this area there is no where else I would want to be."

Mercersburg Travel Tips

Mercersburg Vacation Rentals in a Quiet Atmosphere

Mercersburg vacation rentals will put you in a great location, but provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Mercersburg, with a population of just over 1,500 counted in the 2000 census, is packed with friendly people and small town charm. Little shops and restaurants dot the streets for you to explore. You can also visit the famous Mercersburg Academy, a college-preparatory school established in the late 18th century. Famous graduates of the academy include actors Jimmy Stewart, Benicio del Toro and John Hamilton, as well as four recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor, seven Rhodes scholars, and one Nobel laureate.

Mercersburg Lodging Near City Activities

If you want to take in a bit of city life, then Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is just over an hour from Mercersburg lodging. Harrisburg is the capital of Pennsylvania, offering several activities and attractions for visitors. You can go shopping at Crown Plaza, watch a game at City Island, take in the view from Mulberry Street Bridge or view exhibits at the Art Associate of Harrisburg.
