  • City Family

"This was our first trip to Lake Erie as a family - I honestly don't know where to begin because we had such an amazing stay. Lynne was an amazing cottage host -she answered all of our questions immediately (I had a lot of them) and she made suggestions on activities tailored to our family. We had the most beautiful accommodations and scenery - it truly was the serene atmosphere we needed to escape the busy city life! My boys were begging us to stay forever, I wish we could've! Favorite activities: collecting beach glass, painting rocks on the picnic table at sunset, swimming in a creek next to lake, building sandcastles, walking to mazza winery and tasting fabulous wine (the kids tasted sparkling juice!), walking my baby to sleep along the shoreline, a private fishing charter and the best tasting fried fish for dinner that night, and the list goes on! Bottom line - rent from Lynne if you want a five-star feel on a private, rustic beach in the middle of wineries! Thanks Lynne!!!!"

  • Nice Family Vacation

"Last year we stayed in one of the lower apts and our stay was not exactly up to par, however the owners honored their offer for us to stay again this year- this time in the upper apt. Our stay this year was much better! The apt was clean, well stocked and ready upon arrival. The private beach is so nice to have just across the road (I will warn, it is a typical Erie beach-more rocky than sandy- but my kids loved it just the same). The area is quiet and peaceful. The only issue we had during our stay was a problem with the water heater which was resolved quickly even on a sunday morning. The apt is comfortable and while you don't get very good cell service or sometimes not at all, the wifi is quite fast! This is a nice get away for families or anyone really!"

  • Just Wonderful!

"We stayed here last year and loved it so much we came back again this year! The house is right on the lake (beautiful sunsets) and the sound of the water at all hours is totally relaxing. The house is very well stocked with everything you could possible need. Don't forget to bring sheets and towels, but there are plenty of pots and pans, dishes, mugs, etc. The sunporch is wonderful for sitting, reading, jig saw puzzles, or just watching the water. The deck is a great place for that early morning coffee. The lake is RIGHT THERE if you are up for water activities. The sand and beaches of Presque Isle are just a couple miles down the road. Presque isle has wonderful walking/biking paths and a couple of us were feeling energetic, so we rented one of those bicycles with the full seat and canapy overhead. We spent as much time laughing as we did peddling. Erie, proper, is just a few miles away with plenty of things to do. We went to the zoo and the Station Dinner Theater; did some shopping, some sightseeing, some just hanging out. So, if you want a house right on the lake that is just WONDERFUL... this is the place for you!"
