  • Wonderful house, Fabulous time!

"My 8 person group had an amazing time staying here. Owners were responsive, the house was very clean, and the view and lake access is AMAZING! We took the paddle boat out, grilled, and ate dinner outside. In addition to two picnic tables, there is a large outdoor table with enough cushioned seats to comfortably fit 8 people. There were also many benches that we could set up around the fire pit. I loved the open layout of the kitchen (with a butchers block), living room, and dining room. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom. The 2 other bedrooms (no access to the loft), each with a set of bunk beds, were small, but comfortable. Plus, we barely spent any time in the bedrooms, because being outside was so gorgeous! We had an amazing time and I can't wait to return!"

  • Weekend Getaway

"We stayed in this cabin for a 3 day weekend. It was very clean and very cozy. Don was a pleasure to work with, really friendly and helpful. This is a great location and didn't have to travel further than 10-15 minutes for any activity we wanted to do. Would definitely recommend!!"

  • Incredible find! So near NYC and seems so European.

"My wife and I spent a long weekend in June at the Forester’s Cottage. It only took an hour and a half (70 miles) to get there from NYC. The property is very secluded, bound by the National Historic site Grey Towers on one side and a forest with a waterfall on the other. The whole feel of the place is very old world European with garden walls and open lawns. We enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool area, large vegetable gardens and orchards, ping pong on the back porch, and had dinner on the front porch with beautiful walled garden and mountain views. The rooms are large and spacious, no air conditioning but the stone house is cool and shaded. We loved walking in the evenings through the gardens at Grey Towers, and taking daily walks into the town of Milford a ½ mile away. The house is very historic, property of the Pinchot family. Loved the French Patisserie, Fauchere’s restaurant, Fretta’s specialty Italian food store and tremendous antiquing in the lovely little town of Milford."
