  • Lovely home on the grounds of Skytop, PA

"We were part of a two family trip to this lovely cottage on the grounds of the exclusive Skytop lodge. We chose Skytop because it is within 2 hours of NYC, and between our two families there are three teenagers who needed more than sitting at a lake, reading a book. The cottage is on the 15 tee of Skytop's golf course and because it borders the Lodge's property, we were able to use all of the facilities (swimming lake, boating lake, pools, game room, archery, tennis, crocquet, hiking trails, spa, driving range, golf course, Orvis trap shooting, restaurants, etc).We did bring bikes (recommended), fishing rods, and beach chairs and used them all. We had plenty to do throughout the week, with enough activities to keep everyone happy. The house itself was perfect. It is clearly used for private ownership with everything being of the highest quality. The kitchen is small but perfectly outfitted with everything that we needed (even a lemon squeezer for the peck of lemons I brought!) Each bedroom was beautifully laid out, and had reading lights on both sides of the beds (being a reader, this is a big deal!). There are 4 bathrooms which completely worked with 7 people in the house. And best of all, the enclosed porch looks out onto the back yard and golf course. It was really perfect. Although we are not golfers, we had a wonderful time, as there's so much to do. I would highly recommend this house for anyone who wants to enjoy the benefits of Sktyop lodge (and the Poconos) but not pay the expensive daily rates. It's a really lovely home."

  • Great time

"The weather cooperated with us for our weekend as we spent most of the time outdoors on the deck - even tho the other properties are close by, the deck is secluded. Great view down to the water below - pictures don't do the view justice. A bit dark in the main room, could use another light fixture or two."

  • Perfect!!

"My family and I had a wonderful stay. There were 9 of us and every single one of us slept comfotably. The house has everything you need and more. It was clean and cozy. The location is perfect. It's right next to Camel Beach waterpark. It's so close that we came back to the house for lunch and went right back to the park. We spent most of our time playing pool, grilling and watching movies. We also used the community pool and had a blast. We did paintball which was five minutes away. The owner Ron was great, it was a last minute trip and he worked with us, was flexible with the time we could arrive and time we could leave. One of my cousin's forgot his keys and Ron was nice enough to mail them to us. We had a wonderful stay and plan on going back again. We highly recommend this rental."

  • Wonderful New Year's Retreat!

"We spent three nights in this wonderful house. We came from New York, were everything is loud and crazy, and the quietness and peacefulness of this house definitely made us feel like we were on vacation. The working fireplace was the perfect place to gather around during our stay. The house had character, was cozy and relaxing. We had teenagers with us and it was hard to convince them to go with us to the house. However in the end it was even harder getting them to leave, because they ended up liking it so much. The kitchen was large and we loved the kitchen island. We had 12 people but the house did not feel crowed at all. Everyone found something to do, there were games, billiards and other activities which to busy oneself with. Overall we loved our stay and spent a wonderful New Year's at this house. Thank You!"
