"A huge 'thank you' to John and Kay for providing a beautiful home with all of the necessary amenities, plus some, for our annual 'Ladies Convention.' This is the 9th year for us, annually, spending a few days 'away from it all' with our most dear college friends. Although, between us all, we live in 4 different states now, this is our one time per year to come together and reminisce about our college days and catch up on our lives. We had a wonderful time together this year at The Lusch Acres Retreat. It was beautiful, had a lovely outdoor space as well as several indoor spaces for us to relax and catch up. The home is very clean and well kept and includes all of the basics as well as some extras. We visited and enjoyed Worlds End State Park, the Lopez Winery and the Winterland Winery while staying and enjoyed it all. John and Kay have a great binder of information upon entry of the home, including information on what to do in the area as well as where you can find anything/activities which may peak your interests.
Two suggestion to anyone staying:
1. Figure out where to get firewood if you plan to have a campfire. The only place we found any was at the hardware store.
2. Call the wineries before you drive out, two of the wineries we attempted to visit were closed for that day (or permanently)."

"We just stayed at the Spencer House for a long ski weekend and had a wonderful time! We were having a hard time finding lodging to accommodate our group of 14 adults. We needed to be close enough to ski Elk Mtn, but have enough room so we aren't on top of each other!
The Spencer House was the perfect fit. The home is absolutely beautiful and obviously well cared for. Each couple had their own private room plus we had a TON of space on the main level for relaxing, cooking and dining. By the way our group LOVES to cook, the kitchen went well beyond our expectations. Plenty of pots/pans/utensils- you name it! The home truly has everything you need to feel right at home.
I'd also like to mention the homeowners, Agnes & Alfred, were simply lovely to work with. You really can tell that they love this home and were happy to share it with us. I would highly recommend the Spencer House to anyone looking in the area, it is truly a amazing property."

"We had a lovely stay at the cabin. Dianna was very helpful and the place was rustic, but very clean. We enjoyed fishing and walking the trails. At night, we enjoyed campfires and looking at the stars. Lots of wildlife... my 6 yr old son especially loved the turtles at the pond. I loved that we were all "unplugged" (but with a enough cell phone reception if you need to make a call). We have already decided we are visiting again next summer."
