"A huge 'thank you' to John and Kay for providing a beautiful home with all of the necessary amenities, plus some, for our annual 'Ladies Convention.' This is the 9th year for us, annually, spending a few days 'away from it all' with our most dear college friends. Although, between us all, we live in 4 different states now, this is our one time per year to come together and reminisce about our college days and catch up on our lives. We had a wonderful time together this year at The Lusch Acres Retreat. It was beautiful, had a lovely outdoor space as well as several indoor spaces for us to relax and catch up. The home is very clean and well kept and includes all of the basics as well as some extras. We visited and enjoyed Worlds End State Park, the Lopez Winery and the Winterland Winery while staying and enjoyed it all. John and Kay have a great binder of information upon entry of the home, including information on what to do in the area as well as where you can find anything/activities which may peak your interests.
Two suggestion to anyone staying:
1. Figure out where to get firewood if you plan to have a campfire. The only place we found any was at the hardware store.
2. Call the wineries before you drive out, two of the wineries we attempted to visit were closed for that day (or permanently)."

"My family has stayed in this cabin twice now. We absolutely love staying here and will continue to stay here every time we come up this way. The place is beautiful and very peaceful and the owners are really friendly and helpful. We love sitting on the porch enjoying our morning coffee while enjoying the serenity and wildlife."

"We spent a week in this cabin and absolutely enjoyed ourselves! The beds were comfortable and the cabin was extremely clean. The owners were wonderful and very accommodating, even allowing us to check in early with less then 24 hours notice and allowing us to extend our stay for an extra 3 days. The cabin is in the middle of nowhere with a big lake on the property. It was the middle of winter so we didn't get to take advantage of the fishing but our dog loved running around on the land surrounding the property. A cabin this nice is a rare find and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay near Dushore!"

Great time with our family and even better that we could have our dog!!
"We arrived July 3 and stayed until the 9. We had a great time!! We have stayed at a lot of different places that DON'T allow pets such as Raystown lake and Hammond lake but this was by far the best. For a small home it had plenty of room inside for my wife and I, our two teenagers and our Labrador retriever. It had everything we wanted, a pool for the family(dog included), serenity so my wife and daughter could read and a boat for me and my son to go to different parts of the lake to fish (we all fished from the deck but the better fishing was on the north end of the lake). There were a few small things that need addressed such as the grill needs updated, bushes need trimmed or removed especially the one that blocks the view of the lake from poolside and parking other than that we had a wonderful time here and have already decided to come back next year!!"
