"Our daughter is almost 3, and she's been talking about her 'cation at the Poconos since the moment we left. Beautiful property, well-stocked home, peaceful setting, we can't wait to go back!
We talked to a number of neighbors who were nice and friendly. One neighbor even gave my husband the scoop on the area, and we found ourselves looking at Zillow once or twice during our stay. The lakes were just a short drive away and were the temperature of bathwater, and we frequented the pool geared towards younger kids. Mike even outfitted his place with a video game consol, which definitely saw some road time during our stay.
Mike was extremely communicative, answered all of our questions, was always reachable. Mike -- thank you so much for sharing your sweet retreat, we look forward to visiting again soon!
Ps-- loved the hot tub!!!"

"Three generations of my family stayed at the lodge and it was delight. Everything was described, including the secluded, beautiful surroundings and comfortable, stocked cabin. We went for a cold swim in the creek, caught some little fish, cooked out on the grill, and the sound of rushing water lulled us to sleep. We never even left the property after the first night, even though our intentions were to see the sights."

Wonderful Home and Lake-Perfect for Good Quality Family Time!
"We loved our stay at Shehawken Lake. We were looking for a quiet vacation to spend some quality time as a family and it was perfect. The house sits on a beautiful lake with great swimming, boating and fishing. it was small enough that our kids could go out in the kayaks and row boats by themselves (ages 9 and 10--with life preservers),which they loved. We could always see them. Fishing was fantastic--my son fished from 8am to 8pm, catching lots of fish. The house was really cool--extremely well designed. It looks small on the outside but felt very roomy inside--we didn't even use the upstairs! It has everything you'd need--kitchen well stocked, lots of kids movies, bright, clean bedrooms, nice big shower, etc. There isn't a lot to do in the surrounding area--no real places to go out to eat, etc so bring food and plan to grill or cook! The owner is very helpful and accommodating. The neighbors were super nice too. We're already talking about going back and I have recommended it to friends. Great place to relax, read, fish, swim, etc. My kids rated it an 11 out of 10 and their best vacation!"

"This is a beautiful home, perfect for a family vacation. Our group ranged in ages from 5 - 50+ and we all enjoyed it. Very well maintained interior, plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen and pantry were well stocked - no need to bring anything from home except the food! The deck and the hot tub were a great reprieve to a long day. Our 5 year old daughter was thrilled to be able to feed a deer right from the deck! House is a very short drive to the beach which was a huge plus. The only issue we had was the basement, which is why this house gets 4 stars instead of 5. Although it had a bar, pool table and shuffleboard table, we were unable to use any of it due to the basement being very damp. So damp that the sand for the shuffleboard was wet and unusable. There is a dehumidifier in the basement to use, but it really doesn't make a difference. One night during our stay, there were bad thunderstorms, and water was coming into the basement. However, we would rent this beautiful home again!"
