  • Excellent Home Away From Home!

"I know I speak for the 6 of us that we would give six stars if possible. We celebrated Kim's 50th birthday party and could not have happened upon a better location to do so. From the waterfalls outside to the hot tub inside and all the amenities in between, we felt comfortable and relaxed from the minute we walked in the door. Steve couldn't have been a better host. We woud love to come back and spend more than a long weekend next time and would not hesitate to stay here again. All of us from Philadelphia apppreciated the peacefulness of the property and felt renewed,,,,and a little better about life......after staying here. If you are considering a place in the Pococos to get away, you have found it here."

  • Wonderful house, Fabulous time!

"My 8 person group had an amazing time staying here. Owners were responsive, the house was very clean, and the view and lake access is AMAZING! We took the paddle boat out, grilled, and ate dinner outside. In addition to two picnic tables, there is a large outdoor table with enough cushioned seats to comfortably fit 8 people. There were also many benches that we could set up around the fire pit. I loved the open layout of the kitchen (with a butchers block), living room, and dining room. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom. The 2 other bedrooms (no access to the loft), each with a set of bunk beds, were small, but comfortable. Plus, we barely spent any time in the bedrooms, because being outside was so gorgeous! We had an amazing time and I can't wait to return!"

  • Great Long Weekend

"What a wonderful cottage on a great lake. My wife and I spent a long weekend here and have fallen in love with this lake and area. We were concerned about how many cottages would be on the lake and how close our neighbors would be to us. Well, the cottages are close together but it didn't seem that way. Our neighbors were very quiet and very friendly. The cottage was perfect for the two of us. It is VERY clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. The screened in patio is wonderful and we enjoyed cooking on the open grill. The weather was beautiful while we were there, yet the lake was never busy. We enjoyed the kayaks but did not take advantage of the canoe and row boats which we would have if we had a longer stay. The fishing was fantastic. From the dock in front of the house we caught many bass, yellow perch, and sunfish. If you are looking for a place where the fishing is great... this is it. We did a lot of driving in the evenings looking for wildlife. There is a dirt road on the other side of the lake that goes thru the mountains and valleys. The first night we were lucky to spot a black bear in the woods along that road... and we saw many deer in the open areas. Back at the cottage, we saw a bald eagle fly over the lake, and had hummingbirds feeding on plants along the lake. Thanks to Eric for sharing this lovely cottage with us... he is very pleasant and easy to work with."

Fairview Lake Travel Tips

Get to the Water From Fairview Lake Cabins

When it's time to get away from the crowds, you don't have to give up your love of the water. Just leave the crowds behind and head to a lake outside the door of one of the Fairview Lake house rentals. There you'll find small, secluded lakes such as the namesake Fairview or the larger Lake Wallenpaupack. While both offer pleasant get-aways from the usual city mayhem, it's easy to enjoy the serene, intimate feel from the smaller Fairview lake. The lake is perfect for doing laps in either a kayak or a canoe and it holds a unique feature as well. Situated in the middle of the lake, a land ridge bisects the lake at a very shallow depth. Visible through the clear waters just out the door of some Fairview Lake cabins, it provides an interesting place to go for a walk in the water. If you're using a powered boat, just be careful not to ground it!

Aquatic Wildlife

While fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, rafting, and shoreline activities are regular features accessed from Fairview Lake house rentals, don't forget to check out the natural attractions of the surrounding area. Turtles and swaths of lilly pads occasionally come into view, as do various species of birds. Poconos vacation rentals are excellent for birdwatching, and on the right day, you might even spot a deer making its way along the shore between the houses!

Create Repeatable Memories

As the sound of water dripping off your paddles fades, you will have to return home from your visit to Fairview Lake cabins. But with their proximity to half a dozen eastern seaboard cities, Fairview cabins need not be memories that are infrequent. You and your family can return to the conveniences of countryside living, complete with your own lakeside experiences, as frequently as you wish.
