"We had a very rainy week but we found things to do around the house and area. I'm not sure about eating out, we traveled out of Blakeslee to do that, but we mostly ate at the home. Luckily, all attractions are within an hours or less drive.
The home had everything we needed for a nice week. Camelot Forest is very peaceful and not many people were around. Unfortunately, that also included the lifeguard for swimming- no one showed up our entire week. I did contact owner and she was responsive but no lifeguard appeared.
We enjoyed the canoes and kayaks and lots of fishing! Being on the lake was awesome.
Plenty of room in the home. I'd recommend if you are looking for a quiet, low-key getaway."

Wonderful Home and Lake-Perfect for Good Quality Family Time!
"We loved our stay at Shehawken Lake. We were looking for a quiet vacation to spend some quality time as a family and it was perfect. The house sits on a beautiful lake with great swimming, boating and fishing. it was small enough that our kids could go out in the kayaks and row boats by themselves (ages 9 and 10--with life preservers),which they loved. We could always see them. Fishing was fantastic--my son fished from 8am to 8pm, catching lots of fish. The house was really cool--extremely well designed. It looks small on the outside but felt very roomy inside--we didn't even use the upstairs! It has everything you'd need--kitchen well stocked, lots of kids movies, bright, clean bedrooms, nice big shower, etc. There isn't a lot to do in the surrounding area--no real places to go out to eat, etc so bring food and plan to grill or cook! The owner is very helpful and accommodating. The neighbors were super nice too. We're already talking about going back and I have recommended it to friends. Great place to relax, read, fish, swim, etc. My kids rated it an 11 out of 10 and their best vacation!"

"Memorial day weekend was the absolute best. We all loved the house and had an amazing time. We have two small children that loved the upstairs playroom. During our stay, we enjoyed peaceful nights in front of the outdoor fireplace. This place was very relaxing. Definitely recommend this home to everyone. The owners were very helpful and make the arrangements very simple."

"Our daughter is almost 3, and she's been talking about her 'cation at the Poconos since the moment we left. Beautiful property, well-stocked home, peaceful setting, we can't wait to go back!
We talked to a number of neighbors who were nice and friendly. One neighbor even gave my husband the scoop on the area, and we found ourselves looking at Zillow once or twice during our stay. The lakes were just a short drive away and were the temperature of bathwater, and we frequented the pool geared towards younger kids. Mike even outfitted his place with a video game consol, which definitely saw some road time during our stay.
Mike was extremely communicative, answered all of our questions, was always reachable. Mike -- thank you so much for sharing your sweet retreat, we look forward to visiting again soon!
Ps-- loved the hot tub!!!"
