"We just returned from a week in this lovely home. Everything we needed was right at hand for us, the layout of the home was perfect with grown children being part of our vacation. The pool table was a hit with my daughter and husband as they strove to better each other. We did not use the hot tub due to the heat wave, but it would have been nice if the weather was cooler. Wish the lake was described in more detail; it did not offer us much in way of recreation. The location was great for our exploration of Hickory Run and Lehigh Gorge State Parks. Thanks for giving us a great environment to visit the pocono region with our dog. Maeby had a blast."

"Our family of 8 adults and 9 children (ages 11-9 months) were very comfortable in this lovely house in the woods. The children had a great time playing on the rocks in the yard. The children loved seeing the deer in the yard and named all of them. We enjoyed both the pool and the lake. Nearby Fort Delaware was a great place to visit. We also had some great hikes at the Minisink Battlefield, the towpath and bridge area, and the Zane Grey property in Lackawaxen. Lots of good hiking nearby. Our only complaint is that the people at the office where we got our passes were not very friendly or welcoming."

"My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Van Pelt House. It was our first visit to Jim Thorpe, which is a beautiful town. The house was easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see, yet separated enough from the main street to afford more privacy. We enjoyed the deck in the evenings. The owner was a gracious host who offered great tips on what to see and do and where to eat--and some unexpected and yummy check-in goodies. Friends who met us there for dinner are already planning to go back, and to inquire about the house rental. Thanks for accommodating a wonderful weekend!"

"My family and I enjoyed 1 week at this house and we could not have been happier. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner outside in the beautiful deck table. The house was clean and our children loved having a beach like entrance into the lake. It was a family vacation to remember."
