  • a week of summer fun

"we rented for a week in august and were very pleased with the accomodations. we wanted a place to relax and we could do that. the house is well equipped, clean ,attractive and even nicer than we expected. we hiked, sight seed, and explored this lovely area in the poconos.. our daughters and children came for the weekend and we had plenty of room and lots of fun. the lake passes were put to good use daily. thelake, pool, playground, games were enjoyed by all. it was about a 7 mile drive so we planned each day bringing lunches, etc. we went to the town of jim thorpe and enjoyed the train ride and walking through the quaint town. we visited big boulder and were amazed. at what we saw. we were lucky with beautiful weather and the nights got cool. the owner was a pleasure to deal with and returned my calls immediately when we could not figure some minor things. we definitely would recommend this house and it must be beautiful in winter."

  • Great ski trip weekend

"House was in great condition, clean, and well-furnished. We were able to walk to the slopes at Jack Frost. My friends and I had a great time staying there for the weekend. The owner was easy to deal with and the entire rental process went very smoothly. The security deposit was returned promptly as well. We would definitely rent here again."

  • Pocono Mountain Rental

"Our recent stay in early January was very pleasant at Snow Ridge village. Our unit was clean and very charming. We had a very short stay which the owners were graciously accommodating. Wish we could have taken advantage of the unit more, all we did was sleep there. Fireplace looked cozy and inviting, but we did not use it. We did manage to cook a great breakfast with the electric griddle we brought ourselves. Unit had everything you needed to eat and clean up afterword. Thanks again for the great stay."

Jack Frost Mountain Travel Tips

See It All from Jack Frost Mountain Cabins

Some of the best Poconos vacation rentals just happen to be located right near Blakeslee Pennsylvania. In town you have the Jack Frost Mountain house rentals, and outside of town you have the Jack Frost Mountain cabins. There's a lot of excitement to be had on Jack Frost Mountain's slopes, but if you care to slow down for awhile, there's a whole lot of natural beauty to take in, too. One Flake Slope offers a fun ride for novice skiers, while Big Boulder Park lets you take a nice hike and enjoy the scenery without having to keep your balance.

A Fast Paced Vacation Experience

The Jack Frost area sits right up next to Big Boulder, so they're practically close enough to walk between. If you've ever thought about trying snow surfing, they both have some fun beginner areas where you can go to say "I tried that." Some folks love a good thrill on the open glades because it makes them feel alive. Just a short walk from the Jack Frost Mountain cabins and a couple of miles from the Jack Frost Mountain house rentals you'll find a ski run that's over half a mile long. If you decide to bring the kids, they have family tubes, which are a lot like water slides. If you're not into learning a skill but love a good thrill, tubing might be your kind of experience.

Taking a Break from the Slopes

You might think that Jack Frost Mountain house rentals would keep you away from modern extras, but Blakeslee (just a couple of miles from the mountain itself) has all of the amenities. They even have a pair of dams (the Briar Crest Woods Dam and the Association Dam) if you've ever wanted to see how a small town handles reservoir building.
