  • Great Experience!

"There were 8 of us in my group that went up for the weekend. When we first arrived the place was immaculate, Louise left a note to me and my boyfriend telling us there were clean sheets for us, etc. Louise also had index cards on all the closets so we knew where the cleaning products were. Louise had everything for us, which I never had for a rental before. She was very easy going and very quick with getting back to me from when I initially reached out regarding renting her place for the weekend. The house was a 15 min drive to Jack Frost, which was convenient and it was also walking distance to the restaurants and bars. All in all my entire group have a fabulous time and we would stay at Louise's house again."

  • Beautiful, clean well maintained property!

"The home was beautiful, clean and inviting. The atmosphere was peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. The community was nice and quiet also. We went to the restaurant and enjoyed the food and ambience. We were also able to make it to the lake and pool and spent a relaxing day there after our conference by the lake. We also enjoyed the indoor Jacuzzi at the pool! It was more than we expected. The owner was very helpful in providing all information needed in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend to family and friends. We had the most relaxing experience we could ask for. We would do this again in a minute!!!"

  • Amazing Cottage for an Amazing Weekend

"My seven friends and I absolutely loved staying at this cottage for a weekend getaway from New York City. The accommodations were spacious and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the gadgets, utensils, dishes, and glassware we could possibly need, which was incredibly important because our group loves to grill/cook. The living room was great for relaxing while watching some TV, but we spent most of our time hanging out on the wraparound balcony enjoying the scenery and gorgeous weather. Four acres was more than enough land to make sure our stay was quiet, but the sound system, which worked with all of our iPhones and iPods, had indoor and outdoor speakers and ensured that when we wanted music, we had it. We stopped by the Indian Rocks community area to play some half court basketball and take a dip in the pool (which was very clean and was not incredibly busy). The house came stocked with board games for downtime. The WiFi worked flawlessly - which was important since many in our group are email and instagram fiends. Also, my boys and I became pretty competitive on the ping pong table in the basement (Forrest Gump competitive, at least in our minds). While it's best to bring all the groceries you need, there are a few convenience stores not too far off, and we found a great supermarket about 20 minutes away. It was 50-55 degrees at night, which was somewhat cool for a summer night, but the chiminea kept my group toasty while we enjoyed some drinks in the outdoors. On our way home, we stopped by The Crossings Outlet in Stroudsburg (about 25-30 min away). I can't wait to go back to this cottage!"

  • Couldn't ask for more!

"Our overall experience was beyond phenomenal. We actually didn't even leave the house, except to go for walks. The tv never even got turned on. We were doing just a girls' weekend away and this provided us a comfortable, relaxing place to go. We hung out on the enclosed porch, made good use of the hot tub, used the grill, and just enjoyed the peace and quiet and relaxation. Michael, the owner, was great to deal with. We got delayed in leaving and weren't able to get in until late. He was beyond accommodating. Just perfect. We've discussed making this a yearly trip and would definitely consider staying here again!"

Kunkletown Travel Tips

Small Town Living in Kunkletown Cabins

There are so many great sights and experiences in the Kunkletown area, and Monroe County's Poconos vacation rentals offer you great home base for seeing it all. Kunkletown is a tiny little place that's near both natural beauty and a thriving cultural scene. Kunkletown cabins and Kunkletown house rentals are a quaint springboard to a whole lot of vacationing goodness. In Kunkletown, you are right in the middle of a lot of natural wonders, with a pretty short drive to some of the mid-size city culture that isn't so overwhelming as you might find in a huge urban area.

Not Too Far from the Lake

Kunkletown cabins will give you a local's eye view of the town. You're only about fifteen miles drive away from a 2,900 acre state park called Beltzville. Beltzville Lake has over nineteen miles of shoreline, so crowding is never a problem. If you like swimming, fishing, or just want to rent a canoe and paddle around, you have plenty of space to do so on. They even have speed boats available if you like a little thrill on the water. The best part is, Beltzville State Park has miles of great hiking trails you can explore, and most tourists have never even heard of it.

Not Completely in the Woods

You actually can have too much serenity. Sometimes you want to take in some local culture. At less than twenty miles from Allentown, Kunkletown house rentals will let you take in a lot of city life. From the Allentown Art Museum to America on Wheels (where you can see Mack trucks, muscle cars, and soap box derby cars), you can do as much here for your and mind and your children's as you can for your body on the trails. Whether you love the outdoors or indoors, Kunkletown lets you have it all.
