Recent Lake Wallenpaupack reviews

  • Excellent rental property in the Poconos!

"My family stayed in this well equipped, very clean home for my mothers 86th birthday! The chalet had all the comforts of home plus more. Tommy, the owner could not have been more accommodating, all communication was answered immediately and very specific directions regarding the house and lake/boat questions were handled thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this rental property and can't wait to return again. Thank you Tommy, you're awesome!"

  • A Little Bit of Heaven.....

"We're still basking in the afterglow of one of the best family vacations we've ever had. This beautifully appointed, spacious home on the largest cove in Lake Wallenpaupack is truly a little bit of Heaven. The first class, rustic interior can accommodate a large group of all ages. The master bedroom, with a king sized bed and spacious bath, which includes a jacuzzi tub and a stand-alone tiled shower, is fit for a king and queen. Three other bedrooms, one of which is on the kitchen and patio level and suitable for parents-in-law, and full baths within short steps, provide plenty of privacy. A third floor loft, with two sets of bunk beds, a ping-pong and pool table, board and video games, is a perfect setting for kids indoors where they can make all the noise they want without annoying the adults. A large picture window in the dining area provides a panoramic view of the lake. Add the patio, fire-pit area below, and the lake-front dock and swimming area suitable for young children, and this vacation home is perfect for making family memories. We'll be back next year; can't wait."

  • Nice house and even superior hosts

"This is our first vacation by the lake, and it exceeded my expectations. I wish we could stay longer. They have a nap kind neighbor to loan us his row boat, so we enjoyed rowing boats on the lake. Hostess is very patient with us, and explaining things and answering questions because we were not familiar with the area. we had a family emergency right before our start date, and she expressed her understanding and willing to be flexible to offer other alternate days. Allah and all, we had a very positive experience in spite of the our personal situations."

  • Contemporary Log Cabin

"The Log Cabin, is a beautiful place to stay. The owners really did try to think of everything you might need. They had extra toiletries if you needed (I used a razor), they had several games and puzzles for different ages, interests, and abilities, DVD's (we didn't use them, we brought the kids favorites along), magazines and of course information on local attractions. We used the pool several days and my husband went fishing at two of the three lakes. The cabin was clean and the photos were accurate in the appearance. A big plus for us were the deer that came in the yard. They would stay even when we came outside for a better view of them. The one problem we did have was addressed over the phone--the owner walked me through the steps to resolve the problem. Besides the pool and fishing, we loved just riding around looking for deer. My grandchildren love "hunting" for deer as much as my children did. They were very excited to see some bucks as well as the does and fawns. For families with children, I recommend the "zoo"--Claws and Paws Wild animal park. It is one of the things my grandchildren love to visit each year. You can feed the giraffe, visit turtle town actually going in with the tortoises, and go in and feed the Lory parrots. It is a very intimate zoo. You get closer to the animals while still being far enough to be safe than in a larger zoo. Thank you Renee and Heather for making your cabin available for others to enjoy!"
