  • A dream to stay here in such a wonderful/historic house - we will all remember it forever

"What a treat to stay here. We enjoyed every second and only wish we had more time to spend in this amazing setting. The house is an old French chateau that has been updated a bit. A large country kitchen leads to a grand dining room and an oversized living room. Too many bedrooms to count, with cool breezes throughout the house at night. Two or three of the bedrooms are within earshot of the waterfalls, so falling to sleep is a dream as you listen to the soothing sounds. A wrap around porch is ideal for enjoying the views down into the gardens and seeing towards the town of Milford and eventually across to New Jersey. The swimming pool in the gardens is clean and refreshing and just a short walk from the porch. We look forward to our next chance to get away from it all and relax in this grand setting on the edge of the woods in Milford, PA"

  • Lovely rental!

"Two people in the cottage was wonderful, private, and romantic! The full kitchen and grill were excellent, and the amenities were perfect. We spent a day in Milford and Bushkill Falls, both places we could take our time and enjoy the surroundings. The Preserve's idyllic swimming home and fishing dock were within a minute's walk from the cottage. In the quiet surroundings we could hear the rushing water from the (currently being built) back deck. We had wanted to do more exploring around the property, but the preserve does not have marked trails, so for inexperienced hikers like us, we kept to the cleared underbrush. Thanks to all who helped us enjoy our long weekend at Dwarfskill!"

  • Great time

"The weather cooperated with us for our weekend as we spent most of the time outdoors on the deck - even tho the other properties are close by, the deck is secluded. Great view down to the water below - pictures don't do the view justice. A bit dark in the main room, could use another light fixture or two."

  • Relaxing Away From It ALL

"The house and location are really something to behold if you like nature. It is you and nature and nothing else - even your car stays on the other side of the brook. The living room area is spacious and airy with beautiful views of the creek. You have the brook - to one side it's nice and calm hardly a ripple (except for the frogs jumping around). To the other side a babbling creek through the thick forest. The house itself lends to the environment, decorated to add a touch more to the experience. Closed in porch for relaxing, chairs down by the water around the fire pit - even more relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom/kitchen were basic but all functioned without an issue. All that and it's only 5-7 minutes out of Milford and not far from all that the Delaware Water Gap has to offer."

Milford Travel Tips

Milford House Rentals and Nature

Many people who are interested in a peaceful, quiet vacation immersed in nature choose a Milford cabin to relax in. Milford cabins and Milford house rentals are affordable alternatives to hotel vacations that give you some autonomy and privacy as well as close proximity to nature. The Poconos has long been prized as a natural retreat that is close enough to the city to make it a convenient weekend vacation or even an overnight getaway.

Poconos vacation rentals such as Milford cabins are restful spots that give vacationers access to some of the best that nature has to offer. If you like fishing, there is plenty available in the area. If you enjoy hiking, there are plenty of wild areas that beacon to hikers, such as Raymondskill Falls. Biking, sports, and swimming are all made easy when you stay in a Milford cabin.

Cabin Living in Milford

Staying in a cabin is a very different way to have a vacation with family or friends than staying in a hotel. Instead of going without the comforts of home as everyone does when staying in a hotel, a cabin provides all of the necessities that make it possible to enjoy a vacation. If you like to cook or want to ensure that you can eat healthy meals, there is a kitchen available all the time.

Feeling at Home with a Milford Rental

Milford house rentals offer furnished accommodations that are like going on vacation while taking your home along for the ride. You are immersed in a vacation destination, but you still have all of those homey comforts with you whenever they are wanted or needed. You can hit the Paupack Pub and the historic Milford Theater with friends and have a home to go to at the end of the day. Vacationing with kids is made particularly easy when renting Milford cabins for the family. From kitchen access to the great outdoors, they offer everything that family could ask for during their much-anticipated vacation time.
