  • Great Place in the Middle of Everything

"I was traveling with my dog and stayed at this very old farmhouse for a week. All my family and friends came to visit. Great fenced in yard for dogs to run. Kitchen has modern appliances. Being next to the winery was so convenient for stocking up on wine and cheese, etc. The house has to date back to the 1700's with an add on that must have been made in the 1800's - very charming and everyone loved the place. The only problem was the noise from the traffic on Rt. 202. I live on an island and it is very quiet by comparison. But there is ample parking for guests - unlike New Hope proper where parking is at a premium. I would come back again. The hostess runs the winery next door. Everyone was so delightful. My poodle was a regular at the shop. If I came back I would time it to attend one of the concerts at the winery event venue and maybe the Bucks County Playhouse."

  • An amazing nest for we 2 lovebirds!

"When my fiance comes to visit, we typically rent a hotel room for a few days. Last visit, however, we looked on VRBO at the recommendation of a relative. We wanted something more personal than the typical hotel room, with all the amenities of home. This home is IT (but decorated way better than my home, and right off South Street, a place we love!)! We loved being able to park my car (with the provided parking pass) nearby and just walk around all weekend for meals, drinks, shopping, and wandering. The home is immaculately cleaned, decorated luxuriously, and I especially loved the kitchen and the whirlpool tub. We were able to enjoy the city when we wanted to, or enjoy our own little world when we felt like it. Thank you!"

  • Location,views,modern,wonderful!

"My husband and I rented the place for our stay in Philadelphia. It was so hip and modern and we could not have been happier. The price was perfect, the location was excellent(Monks is around the corner), and Mark the owner was really nice and very mellow. We will be staying there again on our next getaway to Philly and have advised a couple friends that this is the place you want to be."

  • Beautiful House, Great Manayunk Location

"I miss this house! I had an extended stay in this house, and it is absolutely perfect for this. The house is furnished gorgeously with an incredible kitchen. The appliances were great (great wine fridge and top of the line oven) which made cooking in this house very enjoyable. The house is very large... Two large queen beds and many extra rooms with futons and couches. The master suite is very nice... Very large space with beautiful glass shower and walk in closet. One of my favorite parts of the house was the outdoor area. Most rentals (and most houses) in Philly do not have outdoor space. The covered porch and garden were beautiful while I was there in the summer. I have no complaints about the house whatsoever. I would NOT recommend this house for people who have difficulty with stairs. The house is the classic Philly brownstone, three floor style with very steep stairs and lots of them. There's no banister on the first floor stairs, so be careful with small kids. But the absence of a banister keeps the space nice and open. As far as the area, Manayunk is a great place to visit and live. Main Street, which is just a short walk away, had some of the best cuisine and shopping I've seen. The house is located near the Manayunk Brewing Company end of Main Street. Gorgeous, lively area. Although it is not in Center City, the train is easily accessible (9 min walk to Wissahickon train station). Driving from this area into the city can be awful depending on the time of day... 76 is the only real way into the city, and AVOID THIS during rush hours. But as anyone who knows Philly knows, 76 is part of the Philly traffic experience. Overall my stay was wonderful."
