"SHE CAN made its debut at this luxurious estate. SHE CAN was a weekend planned to help women learn and implement positive habits that would set them on the right track for better health and wellness. Looking for a house to accomodate all the activities we were offering was no easy task. However, when our staff stepped foot into this beautiful country setting house, we were sold. It's difficult to find a house with private baths to almost every bedroom. The bedroom sizes are spacious and clean. The kitchen is a chef's dream. It was important to have a state of the art kitchen for our holistic chef, who are presenting and teaching to our guests for most of the meals. In addition, the first floor was spacious enough to offer yoga classes as well as having our expert speakers presenting to our participants. The reviews we received from our weekend guests were extraordinary. We believe we presented some great material and helped to motivate these women to get their lives back on track, but without doubt this home is what made our first event so memorable! In addition, the owner was very accommodating with respect to a few our special requests. We cannot wait to host another event is this masterpiece of a home! (shecanweekend.com)"

A Morning Fire to Light A Spring Day on the River!
"Wanted a place I could use as "base operations" for the week preceeding my son's wedding. All guests were from great distances, so this allowed ample opportunity to visit in a more relaxed and homey atmosphere--yet giving me room to spread out my assignments, and ample space for our nuclear family to be together under one roof. Fresh air, comfortable furnishings, well stocked kitchen and supplies all made for a turn-key operation. Wedding photographer ended up using the location for "groom/best man photos" of which I wasn't expecting, but they preferred. The bikes and kayaks were a great way to work off energy, and a different diversion to the usual physical routine. Really appreciated the elevators for the grandparents, and ME after the 5th load of gear :). Great layout, and biggest regret was the other big house wasn't available for others to enjoy and stay, keeping us in closer proximity. Wedding was right over the bridge in NJ, so this was a perfect answer for a long week, highly scheduled, yet needing "normalcy" at the end of the day. Enjoyed and loved by all! Fresh crisp morning air, and a fire to hand over to the warmth of the sun by 9AM started each day! Lovely."

"I stayed here with some friends for a nearby wedding. The house is comfortable and homey, and the host was very gracious and welcoming. We loved staying here and are looking forward to visiting New Hope again."

"My husband and I rented this house for two months this spring arriving to bare limbs at the beginning of April and being startled by magnolia blossoms a week later, and then azalea, dogwood, japanese maple, rhododendron in beautiful progression, not to mention all the wildflowers along the trail across the road. We found this house just a beautiful place to be. Comfortable Adirondack chairs and a gazebo by the brook provided wonderful outdoor space for writing, working, and relaxing (the wifi reaches out to the gazebo, so I could really treat it as my office in nice weather).
The house itself is a wonderful blend of old and new. A very comfortable and light addition, with 2 luxurious bathrooms and a well equipped and beautiful kitchen with a fine view of the garden. We did a lot of cooking and found it a very pleasant kitchen. The 18th century part of the house is furnished with lovely old things in keeping with its stone walls. The stairs are steep, and the only bathrooms are on the ground floor, so this house would not work well for people who get up during the night or have trouble with stairs, but my elderly parents stayed for two nights on the sofa couch downstairs quite happily. At other times we had younger visitors who stayed comfortably on the trundle beds in the second upstairs bedroom.
We had not spent time in this area before and found Bucks County quite wonderful. The tow path along the canal is right there and great for biking or walking, there is also a lovely wooded path along Tohickon Creek. Great waterways nearby, as well as lots of fine restaurants, museums, shops, and even a post office and a little groceries where you can buy basics a short walk away.
This was a working holiday for us and so worth noting both that the house's wifi is excellent and that our Verizon cell phones had very poor coverage. We managed by skyping or by asking people we needed to talk to by phone to call us at the land-line. But if what you are looking for is a real break, bad cell coverage might be a plus!
We found the owners very straightforward, efficient, and responsive. This is a very special house."
