  • Gorgeous setting, Charming details! Some room for improvement.

"What a gorgeous setting for this super cozy studio! The place is packed with creative details throughout. It was a quiet and very peaceful stay. We brought our two little dogs with us and the huge yard was perfect for their little walks :). Areas for improvement: The kitchen window doesn't lock or close properly (it appears as thought it's a work in progress), not so great when leaving valuables (and beloved dogs) behind for the day. The sofa is extremely uncomfortable, but we didn't spend a lot of time sitting on it, so it's not a deal breaker. A full length mirror would definitely be a plus if the property manager can incorporate one somewhere in the future. Coffee maker needs to be replaced. Overall a great place to stay, it would be difficult find a prettier setting or a more quaint rental than this one."

  • Great location

"We spent 6 weeks in West Chester cottage while we visited friends and family back East. It was an overall very good experience. We toured the Brandywine River Valley sites, went to Alexandria for business and the Eastern shore and visited friends in Phila( the trip can be mmindnumbing, two hours to old city.) The cottage is well stocked and spacious, we epically liked the outdoor space. The furniture has a lived in feeling the was very comfortable. A TV in the bedroom would have been nice but it forced us to read more. Once you learn the neighborhood you realize how conveniently located it is."

  • Always wonderful

"This was our second time back to Vixen Hill cottage. It is peaceful, bucolic and just the right amount of space for my husband and I when we return to our native Chester County, (from Florida). As an artist, I never grow weary of the beautiful subject matter which can range from the springhouse on the side of the cottage to the meandering stream, or the boisterous red maple in the front yard and even to the backyard peonies! Even though it rained for one of our weeks, I was able to paint from the lovely front porch. We love everything about the Vixen Hill Cottage and the surrounding area boosts not just natural beauty but wonderful restaurants, museums and historical monuments as well. We'll be back!"

  • Beyond expectations!

"Kept planning side trips but would end up back at the cottage, preferring a good book (and a bottle of wine!) on the porch to other adventures. Oozing charm, privacy and history, I could not recommend the cottage more highly. Just fabulous."
