"My husband and I rented this house for two months this spring arriving to bare limbs at the beginning of April and being startled by magnolia blossoms a week later, and then azalea, dogwood, japanese maple, rhododendron in beautiful progression, not to mention all the wildflowers along the trail across the road. We found this house just a beautiful place to be. Comfortable Adirondack chairs and a gazebo by the brook provided wonderful outdoor space for writing, working, and relaxing (the wifi reaches out to the gazebo, so I could really treat it as my office in nice weather).
The house itself is a wonderful blend of old and new. A very comfortable and light addition, with 2 luxurious bathrooms and a well equipped and beautiful kitchen with a fine view of the garden. We did a lot of cooking and found it a very pleasant kitchen. The 18th century part of the house is furnished with lovely old things in keeping with its stone walls. The stairs are steep, and the only bathrooms are on the ground floor, so this house would not work well for people who get up during the night or have trouble with stairs, but my elderly parents stayed for two nights on the sofa couch downstairs quite happily. At other times we had younger visitors who stayed comfortably on the trundle beds in the second upstairs bedroom.
We had not spent time in this area before and found Bucks County quite wonderful. The tow path along the canal is right there and great for biking or walking, there is also a lovely wooded path along Tohickon Creek. Great waterways nearby, as well as lots of fine restaurants, museums, shops, and even a post office and a little groceries where you can buy basics a short walk away.
This was a working holiday for us and so worth noting both that the house's wifi is excellent and that our Verizon cell phones had very poor coverage. We managed by skyping or by asking people we needed to talk to by phone to call us at the land-line. But if what you are looking for is a real break, bad cell coverage might be a plus!
We found the owners very straightforward, efficient, and responsive. This is a very special house."

"My husband and I are from the area now relocated. We wanted to come back for a little get away and were not finding a good hotel that accepts pets-we have a golden. We really enjoyed staying at this little cottage. It was cozy and private. Located in Historic Yellow Springs, there is lots of history and fun to explore if you've never been. I'm not big on cooking while on vacation but, the kitchen was very nice for those who do. Not to mention all the great restaurants around! Gave it a 4 only because there seemed to be a little construction going on-improvements I'm sure will be very nice. Would definitely come back!"

"I have always gone to New Hope for a weeks getaway every summer and this year was lucky enough to happen upon Conversation Farm. The neighbors were welcoming and Shane , the next door neighbor helped collect firewood for the fire pit along the creek. Sitting along the stream and seeing all the wildlife was magical and the ducks came about for their morning feedings, duck food supplied ! The train going by overhead was just an added bonus as the site is already perfect. The king size bed was so comfortable and it was surprisingly very quiet being so close to Main street. It really felt as if I was staying in someone's home and not their rental property. The kitchen was great and having the one bathroom off the kitchen was handy when you were spending time at the creek or on the patio. The stairs were okay if you took your time. It is a beautiful place to stay, very close to all the attractions in and around New Hope. I only moved my car once in a week ! Thank you Laura for checking on us after the storm to be sure that we had power. Lovely home, lovely people."
