  • Absolutely Perfect!!!

"Words cannot do this place justice. Mona and Bryon were kind enough to allow us to exchange our wedding vows at their cottage...and we stayed for our honeymoon afterwards...I cannot think of a more perfect place to have started our lives together. The Fall foliage was breath taking. The numerous bird boxes and feeders scattered around the grounds brought a large variety of birds to be watched...The views are beautiful..there are mowed paths that weave around the property for taking walks...The pond was fun to fish in! There are some pretty big fish in that pond! It was a little chilly but that was fixed by building a nice fire in the fire pit. Their attention to detail is unmatched. You literally only need to bring your own food/drinks...everything else you need is there waiting for your arrival! The cottage is inviting and cozy...perfect for a couple wanting to get away and recharge. The loft bedroom is gorgeous with a VERY comfortable bed..storage for your clothes..windows that give you beautiful views of the property...the living room area is cute and they even provide a nice selection of dvd's and vhs movies to watch on the tv! Games were found tucked away in drawers or on shelves...The sun room was my favorite place...sitting at the table in the morning and watching the world wake up outside while having coffee and doing crossword puzzles was the perfect start to the day! The gas fireplace that sits across from the two incredibly comfortable arm chairs made the room picture perfect. The kitchen was easy to use...well equipped and had more than enough storage. The decor of the cottage is wonderful...I loved all the dragonfly decorations and the sculpted wood artwork...absolutely beautiful. Everywhere you looked you would find a cute little bird decoration tucked in and waiting to be found. So with all that said...the bottom line is...this place is perfect inside and out. Can't wait to go back! Thank you Mona and Bryon for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!"

  • Mountain Getaway

"My wife, daughter and I enjoyed 5 perfect days at the end of September in the Chalet. This was more than enough house for us and we hope to return with a group at sometime. The house is conveniently located right off of County Line Rd and just a couple of minutes from Seven Springs. We spent time hiking in Laurel Hill State Park and several days down in the Ohiopyle area, which are short drives as well. The chalet has a great deck, where we spent several afternoons relaxing and playing with our daughter who was only 15 months old at the time. The Kitchen had everything and more for cooking and the grill was more than adequate. Everything was in great condition. The home is not child proof, which is normal, so we just kept an eye on our daughter and it was not an issue at all. We spent the evenings out at the fire pit and in the lower level playing pool. There were only 3 of us, but I can see that this property has plenty of room to spread out and have your own space if you traveled with more than one family. We ate a couple times at Out of the Fire in Donegal, which is one of our favorites for lunch and dinner. It is BYOB, so remember that before you travel. There really isn't a close liquor store. You can purchase PA wines from Sarnellis which is nearby. Sarnelli's is a little market with a nice deli, that also has a wine tasting room attached to it. Another part of the trip that we enjoyed, was taking our daughter to Living Treasures Zoo. They have an impressive collection of animals, most of those you are able to feed either carrots or pellets purchased upon entry. We did purchase the insurance for the house, which unfortunately came into play due to an accident that my wife had. Both the owner and the insurance company could not have been easier to work with and hassle free in that process. Thanks again to the owners for sharing their chalet with us and we hope to be back in the near future."

  • Great weekend

"Just spent this past weekend here and the condo was fabulous. The pictures don't do the unit justice and it is very well appointed throughout. The kitchen has every gadget and tool you would need and made for a very easy stay. The owner is very receptive and easy to get ahold of if a need arises. Great experience and unit in the villages!"

  • Absolutely Beautiful!!!

"As with some of the other reviewers I have used VRBO numerous times and have never been disappointed. This property at Southwind is by far the most impressive!! Beautiful!!! The furnishing and decor are appropriate for the location and style of the townhouse. You can tell a lot of thought went into choosing them. The kitchen has everything you could need. Master bedroom and bath are truly amazing. There were 11 of us staying in the house ranging from 4 to 75 and you would never know there were that many people in the house. With it being a 3 level house you could always find a quiet spot. You are on top of the mountain so the view from the decks and patio are gorgeous. We were there for our sons wedding so we did not get to enjoy or take advantage of the amenities of Southwind or all Seven Springs has to offer. Brian was awesome and easy to work with on making our reservations for the townhouse. They provided the bed linens ,towels, also had paper towels, toilet paper and small soaps there for us. Seriously folks, if you are looking for a gorgeous yet homey and comfortable place to stay with a group of people stop looking. You have found it!!!!!"
