  • Just what we were looking for.

"Plenty of room for 11 people. (With enough space for some alone time.) Everything is newer and in good working order. Nice location - across the street from the top of the slopes. 12 minutes from Somerset. Seven Springs is closer than you think if you venture down Fire Tower road. We plan on a return visit at some point."

  • Great cabin

"We stayed comfortabley in this cabin with 9 guests. Everything was very clean including the hot tub. The people who own the cabin are very helpful during the weeks/months prior to your stay via email or phone. It came with mostly everything you would need to cook and clean but we were prepared anyway. It was only a short drive to seven springs which was the point of our trip. I would definitely recommend!"

  • Comfortable, well-maintained, clean spot near where you want to be

"The place is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. It's set back over a creek, which is cute. It's a bit hard to see the house number on the road if you're arriving at night, but it's easy to find overall. We had a large group and did fine. The kitchen is reasonably stocked, but you may want to bring a few extra pots/pans if you have a larger group. It's somewhat remote, but on the road there's a market or two if you need to get a few staples (milk, butter, &c), and a few restaurants if you'd rather be out. Easy drive through the hills to the park, rafting, and so on. Compared to other places we've stayed, my only complaints are that one bathroom for 10 people is a bit tight, and there isn't a yard (which would've been nice for the youth group we had)."

  • Perfect Condo for a New Years Weekend Getaway

"New Years weekend. What a great condo here at Laurel Ponds, which really is in a cozy setting in the woods, with a small ‘babbling brook’ in the rear and front areas of the property. Pat (the owner) was terrific to deal with we definitely will return. After venturing out to much of the Nemacolin property, the condos at Laurel Ponds seemed to be the nicest of all. You can actually see the resort spa through the woods from the really nice back deck, which can also be accessed from the side of the condo! Once you park your vehicle in the private parking area, you never have to drive again because the free property shuttle service is excellent, reliable, and they come quickly when you call to be picked up and drop you off right in front when you return ‘home’. It really does feel homey at Pat’s condo with lovely decorations, extra blankets and pillows if you want to just ‘chill’ on the sectional in front of the TV and fireplace, or need an extra pillow in bed. Oh, and there’s great water pressure in the showers! The kitchen is fully loaded with silverware, glasses, cups, dishes, pots, pans, and all you need. I read that some guests had difficulty with cell-phone service, but we didn’t have a problem; just moved closer to the window or sliding glass door and tried a couple times until the phone worked, so no worries with cell service. The beds lined with flannel sheets were very comfortable and having chairs in the bedrooms was a bonus to toss your clothes or just sit and relax. We also really liked the cathedral ceiling and loft in the upper bedroom with its own private bath. The main restaurants, shops, spa, etc, at the Lodge and Chateau Lafayette are just a short 3-minute shuttle ride from the condo, so while the condo location was a perfect convenience, it also felt like we were in a private, quiet, and intimate area. We enjoyed the shops at the Lodge, some terrific food and drinks in the bar area of the Tavern, the fabulous brunch at Lautrec, perfect breakfast pizza and breakfast tacos at Autumn, and an exceptional and unique dinner at Aqueous (upscale steak restaurant) at the Falling Rock Resort, a facial and a little pampering at the resort spa, and of course, enjoyed some time at the Lady Luck Casino. After checkout, we headed to Falling Water (a must see), just 20 minutes away from Nemacolin. There truly is something for everyone at Nemacolin, and staying at this Laurel Ponds condo made it all a wonderful and memorable experience."
