  • Family Ski Vacation

"We had a great time at this property. It is close to the top of the slopes. The layout is great for two familes, 11 people total. The pool table was used a lot in the evenings after skiing. The fireplace was great to warm us up after the very cold days of skiing. We definitely would rent this place again. Mary was very helpful and attentive to our needs."

  • Secluded, beautiful setting

"Five of us stayed at the cabin for 6 days. The cabin was more than we expected. Although secluded in the woods, it had many of the conveniences of home. There was a dishwasher, as well as laundry and a drier. Since we engaged in many wet activities, the laundry facilities were very useful. Although it was a wet summer, the porches and the woods around the cabin had almost no mosquito problems. There is a flat screen TV with lots of channels, but why use it when there is so much natural beauty around. There is no air conditioning. Although we were at the cabin in August, we were quite comfortable. We brought extra fans but did not need them. The cabin has an outdoor fire pit as well as a grill. There is dry firewood under a tarp. There is poor cellphone reception, but the owners made the cabin telephone land line available. When we were not rafting or hiking, we made use of the kitchen to cook the tasty wild mushrooms that grow nearby in profusion. The cabin is affiliated with Beaver Creek Anglers and we had fun learning to do fly fishing. There were a lot of large trout in the nearby stream. We did not catch any, but we learned a lot from our fishing guide. (My home in Maryland is near a trout stream and I am going to practice my new fly fishing skills on the Gunpowder River.) The cabin overlooks a creek so you can have a nice view while you eat dinner. You do not see other people unless you drive into Ohiopyle. There are hiking trails right near the cabin, but the river and waterfalls of Ohiopyle Park are a short drive away."

  • Clean, comfortable, and complete condo

"We stayed for just a couple days recently for the Mother Earth News Fair at Seven Springs and loved this condo. I don't think we could have done any better for the price. It was immaculate, free of odors, comfortable, and complete with everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. We had two families, one with three children and one with four, ages 2-15. It didn't even feel crowded and there were plenty of bathrooms. The homeowners were very resonable and responsive to an issue that arose with the wifi. The free shuttle was helpful too. We will be back!"
