"Great townhome, very clean and well equipped. Great meeting place for our families to meet. Off season Ski resort but it had plenty to do for adults and kids. We plan on going back and staying at this place every year for our family trips."

"Just got back from an incredible stay at the Dam Yough House. The house had plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 1 toddler. We had a great time fishing along the banks of the river, dining at River's Edge Cafe, making fires out back, and exploring nearby Ohiopyle. The house had everything we needed for the weekend, and was incredibly clean and well-kept. We are already thinking about planning another trip back! We will definitely stay here again!"

"We rented this property for the weekend of my 40th birthday and I have to say it exceeded our expectations! It was the perfect house for family on Friday night and adults only on Saturday night. When we arrived on Friday we were greeted with a welcome basket that the kids immediately ripped into. The house was so clean and it smelled amazing. We spent the first night around the fire pit roasting marshmallows with the kids and playing ghost in the graveyard in the gigantic side yard. Saturday morning was spent with coffee on the porch while a few from the group went fishing at the stream that was within walking distance. Saturday evening was spent with family and friends and lots of laughter and memories. I can't imagine a better 40th birthday party! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we can't wait to plan our next weekend away."

"The cabin was pretty much just what we expected. It is a nice size place set on a small lot, not as remote as we expected, but still very nice. Our first impression was that is was very clean inside and smelled fresh. However, the fresh smell was from several Glade plug-ins throughout the place, which quickly became over-powering. We simply unplugged them until we left, and they were not a bother after that. The furniture is pretty comfortable and matches well with the decor. There are a bunch of videos and DVDs to watch as well as some very good books. We were quite happy that we were able to watch the Steeler game on local cable too. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and has a table that seats six, but could probably seat ten in a pinch. The back bedroom above the kitchen was large and would be comfortable for the five people it can sleep. It is unfortunate that the only shower is connected to this bedroom rather than downstairs. My wife stuck her head up into the front bedroom, which is over the great room and said it was roomy and comfortable looking.
I gave this property only four stars because of a few minor items. First, the king size bed is in the front bedroom, and larger folks who would be more comfortable in the king are not going to climb the somewhat rickety looking attic ladder. I'm sure it is safe for most people to use, but a weight limit should be posted in a obvious place to avoid potential injury to larger guests. Second, it would be helpful if some additional information was provided about the cabin in an obvious place, or labels/markings were placed in critical areas. There is a large box next to the TV that sort of looks like a radio, but upon closer inspection is a space heater. The problem is that the power for the heater is controlled by a light switch on the other side of the room by the front door. Another example is that there apparently is no damper on the fireplace, or that there hatchet is a hatchet in a bucket on the front porch to make kindling from the abundant firewood.
These are very minor things. If you are thinking of staying here, just explore the place carefully when you arrive. There are many things to do in the area, and several places to eat. We recommend Glade Pike Winery and surprisingly, the pepperoni rolls from the Exxon station are delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially a group of friends or several couples who could split the costs."
