  • Perfect get away from the world

"My sisters and I spent a weekend here wanting to have some time to catch up with each other and it was perfect. Be prepared though--you are truly away from the world. No internet and no cell phone service, so if you can't stand being disconnected, you won't like this. For us it was just what we needed.Be sure to check out the visitors center in Smicksburg and bring your appetite for old fashioned home cooking at the restaurants."

  • The Diamond in the Rough!!

"We arrived late at night and Diane had everything setup for us. Fridge was already full of the items needed for the morning breakfast. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our vacation. My two teenage daughters loved the loft and privacy. I was amazed how close it was to everything we needed to do. The Zoo, Laurel Caverns, 911 memorial, and the city. Thank you Diane!!!!"

  • Location, location, location

"I can't imagine a better spot if you're looking to see downtown Pittsburgh. We were there for a weekend series against the Pirates. Everything of interest is in walking distance, with the stadiums only a few blocks away. We happened to have perfect weather. We found the people in the area to be extremely friendly and always willing to help if asked for directions. The apartment has incredible views. It's nicely decorated, and it has a complete kitchen and a very comfortable king bed. There was a regatta on the river so there was a lot going on right outside of the apartment building. We had a great view of the 4th of July fireworks. The owners were easily accessible and they were a pleasure to deal with. They were kind enough to let us leave our luggage until after a game so we didn't have to keep it in the car before our departure. Our only complaint was with the. Gateway parking garage next door. We understood the increased rate for the holiday weekend, but the prices weren't communicated clearly and the daily rate was charged for each 16 hour period. Seems like a dishonest business practice. Overall this is a great choice if you're looking to stay in downtown Pittsburgh. We would absolutely recommend it."

  • Our stay here made a wonderful celebration exceptional!

"Thank you! What a place! We would do this again in a heart beat. Everything they say about it is true. Wonderful! A great place for reunions, celebrations, graduations and just a visit. The stairs could be a challenge for some people but can be managed if taken slowly and deliberately. Anita"
