  • Weekend With Friends

"Our group was here for the 5th time. We absolutely adore this place whether it is a weekend with just adults or children included. We've been here during different seasons. As far as activities there is much to take advantage of such as fishing in the pond, volleyball, horseshoes, ping pong or enjoying an outdoor fire. We always enjoy walking the trails on the property with hopes of seeing the bulls (fenced). We did have someone ride their bicycle from Titusville to Oil City and ride the train back. We always have a great time! Always looking forward to the next time."

  • Relaxing time at Wapiti Woods Cabins

"My husband and I were looking for a nice relaxing getaway and truly found it at Wapiti Woods Cabins. We stayed in cabin TV, no Cell Phone service, no Internet, was at the furthest point from the parking lot (you are not allowed to drive up to the cabins, but are given a large luggage cart to bring your things to your cabin). The cabin was VERY clean and well appointed with just about anything we could need. The wood that was provided for the fire ring was plentiful and if by some chance you actually ran out, you are able to buy extra right there on the property. The charcoal grill looked to be brand new and we did indeed enjoy using it for a steak dinner. Everything you could possibly need was provided in the kitchen. The bed was somewhat hard, but it was a futon, so I did expect that and did not mind that for a couple of nights. Honestly, the pictures online do not do the property enough justice. Other than the one meal we cooked at the cabin, we ate at the Benezette Hotel and at the Medix Run Hotel. The Benezette Hotel was simply delicious for dinner and Medix Run Hotel was very good while we ate bar food. We were able to spot Elk on Winslow Hill Rd and also a bear cub. We will definitely be returning to Wapiti Woods Cabins!"

  • Wonderful Birthday Celebration!

"The Galloping Inn provided a relaxing and peaceful setting for a birthday celebration weekend. We rented the main house, suite, and cabin. The Inn has been beautifully renovated while still maintaining the charm of its age. The photos do not do the Inn justice. The property is truly serene. Families from several areas including Pittsburgh, Cleveland, NYC and Harrisburg enjoyed getting away from it all. Everyone we came in contact with from the owners to the horse trainers (kids enjoyed a hayride) were great. We look forward to returning!"

  • Wilderness hiker's heaven

"The area reminded us of southern Idaho. Unspoiled, gorgeous, hike accessible. The house is warm, extremely comfortable, generously stocked. This is a gem. More than that for distance runners. We can't wait to return."
