  • Great cabin!

"We rented this cabin for the week leading up to STPR. We were pleasantly surprised after a bad experience with a different rental the previous year. It's obvious that these owners put time and care into their property. The cabin was clean (and let me tell you, I have high standards when it comes to clean!), cozy, and well appointed. The views are beautiful. My husband loved grilling and building a fire almost every night. Our five year old loved the yard, and even slept in a small tent we set up. I loved the porch swing and super soft quilts for curling up with a book. Close to everything; the rail trail, downtown Wellsboro (go to Peggy's candy store!), and New York (the falls at Watkins Glen are a must!). There is even a covered wagon tour right by the cabin. Close to all spectator points for the rally. You can't go wrong with this rental! Bob and Sherry are great and were so helpful. As a military family whose vacation time is precious, we really appreciate finding places like this one that allow us to fully enjoy our time together. Who knows we might even retire up there in a few years, and I hope our place is as nice as this one!"

  • Wonderful House, Idyllic Setting

"We were only here for two nights but wished almost immediately that our stay was longer. The house is spacious, comfortable and very well kitted out. The back decking is huge and overlooks a large garden where we played croquet on the lawn. We were very lucky to be able to take up the opportunity to have dinner with a local Amish family in the village, arranged by Lucy. This was one of the highlights of our trip. The doughnuts sold on Saturday morning just around the corner were the best we have ever had! There are lots of nature walks and beautiful farming landscapes in the local area. Lucy has very good local knowledge and went out of her way to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. We even went for a bird walk with Lucy and a friend. They helped find and identify the birds we saw and heard. Thank you so much Lucy for such an enjoyable stay and for making us feel so welcome. We highly recommend a stay at the Dancing Bear Lodge - you won't be disappointed!"

  • Wonderful Birthday Celebration!

"The Galloping Inn provided a relaxing and peaceful setting for a birthday celebration weekend. We rented the main house, suite, and cabin. The Inn has been beautifully renovated while still maintaining the charm of its age. The photos do not do the Inn justice. The property is truly serene. Families from several areas including Pittsburgh, Cleveland, NYC and Harrisburg enjoyed getting away from it all. Everyone we came in contact with from the owners to the horse trainers (kids enjoyed a hayride) were great. We look forward to returning!"

  • Excellent Cabin!

"Our stay was wonderful. It is secluded and very peaceful. The cabin is very well kept and clean. The kitchen includes everything you need to cook and serve. The outside spaces are great too (porches, firepit and yard). The owner was a pleasure to deal with - very kind and considerate. I would recommend this place to anyone and would return if our travels take us to the area again."
