  • A perfect and peaceful getaway for our family.

"The house was amazing; it was clean, comfortable, offered beautiful views of the woods and wildlife. We saw deer every day and bear 2 nights. Our kids loved the play house and swing set. There were many games of Scrabble played on the beautiful deck. We enjoyed many walks on the gravel roads leading to the house. It was close to the upper Pennsylvania Grand Canyon - we did some hiking in each of the state parks. Don't make the mistake we did and go to Animal Land!!!"

  • Great spot for our family... Wish we were still there!

"Our family just returned from a relaxing week at this cabin. The amenities are as advertised, and definitely made for a comfortable stay. The iffy cell reception was a challenge, but there is a benefit to being a little out of touch for a week. We borrowed boats, and carried them to the lake each time... Next time we would rent the boat slip instead. Making arrangements with the owner was very pleasant from start to finish. We heartily recommend this place!"

  • Loved this home & had an amazing stay with friends!

"We had a great summer stay at this unbelievable home. We had 3 couples doing a reunion and this was the perfect place. The home was huge and had a really cool rustic feel to it- I have never stayed at a place like this one before and I loved it! Together, the group did zip-lining over at the resort, which was a thrill. The next day, the guys had a golf day while the gals went to the spa. We all ate at Helen's one night and then grilled out at home the next. The views and sunsets were just amazing off the deck- we didn't realize how high up we actually were. It was really nice just sitting out on the deck and hanging out with old friends and then heading inside for some pool competitions. It really was such a fun weekend and reminded us that we need to do it more often! We can't wait to come back this home! Next time, maybe we will stay in the home in the winter and all go skiing... that could be trouble. :)"

  • Excellent family getaway

"We had the most wonderful summer mountain getaway at Gregg and Erin's property. Our family of five (children ages 7, 8, 17) we're exceptionally comfortable. The property was very easy to find and better than expected. Very clean with all the things we needed. We loved cooking meals on the screened in deck. The house was very centrally located to all the activities we wanted to participate in. The whole family absolutely loved the challenging ropes courses and zip line at treeventures. We kept so busy at outside activities that we didn't get a chance to try out all the community amenities. The house wasn't too far from a supermarket to pick up the items we needed. Gregg and Erin were helpful with any issues we had. Would highly recommend this property to anyone. We're hoping to visit again in the cooler weather."

Pennsylvania Travel Tips

Things to See and Do at Pennsylvania Vacation Rentals

One of Pennsylvania's main attractions is its excellent amusement parks. On Lake Erie, there is the famous Splash Lagoon. This amusement park is a giant indoor water park where you can enjoy slides and rides, have a lazy tube ride or surf in a wave pool. Because it is an indoor venue, it can be enjoyed in every season, even when it is snowing outside. Other notable amusement parks include Conneaut Lake Park, Dutch Wonderland, Hershey Park, and Sandcastle Water Park. Pennsylvania is also home to some of the country's best museums. The Philadelphia Museum of Art is well known for its top quality exhibits. Pittsburg is famous for the Carnegie Museums, and Scranton is home to the unique Houdini Museum.

Visitors to Pennsylvania Lodging

Pennsylvania is a great family vacation destination. The state is home to several top amusement parks which are ideal for family fun days. There are also more than 120 state parks where you can enjoy nature trails, fishing and hunting. Philadelphia vacation rentals are near a wealth of interesting museums for you to explore as a family. Music and art enthusiasts will enjoy the many festivals that take place throughout the year. These are usually weekend or week-long events where there are excellent music and entertainment combined with food and craft stalls. There are several casinos that provide endless gaming entertainment. Golfers have a choice of top-quality golf courses at which to enjoy 18 holes of golf. Philadelphia is also home to several major and minor league sports teams. Sports fans from all over the region often flock to the city when there is a big game.

Seasons to Travel to Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has a variable climate, depending on where in the state you are staying. Most of Pennsylvania enjoys a humid continental climate. Rain occurs throughout the year and heavy snowfall can occur in the winter months, especially in the far northwestern parts of the state. Philadelphia, because it is closer to the coast, benefits from a more subtropical climate. There really is no off season in which to visit Pennsylvania. Poconos resorts and Endless Mountain vacation rentals are a four-season destination, and visitors who enjoy snow sports will love the icy winter months when the state benefits from heavy snowfall. If you are wanting to explore the countryside, summertime would be a more ideal time to visit as getting around during this season is more convenient. It is advisable to listen to the weather reports when traveling as tornadoes frequently occur during the hot summer months. In the cities, the attractions of museums, shopping and entertainment are available all year round.
