"Our family has stayed in the beach front and downstairs apartments for three years and have reserved our fourth.. We couldn't be happier with both! They are super clean and modern and furnished very tastefully. Nancy, the owner, decorates the outside with plants and comfortable seating areas. The view! The view from the expansive deck is gorgeous ! What put this over the top is the private beach. No crowds, no one walking over you blanket, and we just leave our gear, go to lunch, then come back. So super convenient, especially with kids."

"If I could use decimal ratings, I'd rate our stay at the Minister's Lot Cottage a 3.8.
The house needs some TLC. Some of the windows did not open properly and some did not shut tightly. Light switches were missing hardware.
On the positive side, a very short walk to Lulu's Way will bring you to one of the best beaches on Block Island. The deck was sunny and inviting with a pleasant breeze and the ever-present scent of honeysuckle and ragusa rose.
Eileen was very helpful and promptly answered questions we posed.
If you want a no-frills, secluded, homey place to stay, with access to a long sandy beach, give this cottage a try."

"Came for a family wedding with a party of 8 and ended up falling in love with a home and the town of Bristol! The mushroom was in a magical setting surrounded by beautiful foliage. The house was very private and had everything you could need. Beds were very comfortable, plenty of towels, the fireplace was great for the one cold night we were there. Beautiful views from the house and backyard. The beach was amazing, we walked every morning each way and it was so peaceful. Lots of things for kids to do and explore, found lots of sea glass. The town of bristol was very close and was the perfect New England town. The Beehive cafe is a must!!! Owners were very helpful and easy to communicate with. We didn't want to leave, and will definitely be visiting again!!"

"The house was so thoughtfully appointed with everything from sharp knives, to handy hooks, to the beach chairs, legos for the kids, and more. It's a peaceful place on a fairly quiet street. Perfect for a family for kids. The outdoor space was such a lovely surprise! We spent lovely peaceful evenings there. Families should note that if kids are sleeping on the porch, they may be disturbed if others are wanting to go outside. The beach was so close, and 2nd beach was a beautiful bike-ride away (that my 5-year old was able to bike). We would definitely rent this house again and recommend it."
