We stayed from Aug1-15 . The house was clean and comfortable
"We were a party of 9,mix adults and children. The very first thing you notice is the breath taking views of the cove and ocean beyond from every window. We all enjoyed walking down to the cove ,the kids loved looking for sea glass , small smooth stones and driftwood. The house's yard faced the cove, was great for relaxing in the late afternoon or early evening after a day at the town beach. The kids enjoyed the beach and yard as well . They liked kite flying and games of tag in the constant breeze we all enjoyed in the yard. The location was perfect too. Some of us went to Newport and others took the children to Battle Ship Cove on our rainy day. A trip later in the week to the Whaling Museum and lunch at the Sakonet Winery al fresco rounded out two beautiful weeks. I enjoyed having coffee every morning in the kitchen and watching the sun come up over the Atlantic in utter peace and quiet. The setting of the house is perfect, The Community of Little Compton is charming. If there is a draw back it this, although there is plenty of town beach space during the week if you plan to use the town beach on Saturday or Sunday arrive early."

"We were so very pleased with our Close Cottage rental! Our group of four adults loved the location on the water, the cleanliness and amenities available and the welcoming feel the minute you walk through the door! We enjoyed early morning coffee in the sunroom, touring the area during the day, and making dinners in the well equipped kitchen in the evening. The beds had lovely linens and we all slept well after being outside for most of the day. The location of the cottage was perfect. If you like beach walks, finding beach glass, eating lobster, visiting Cape Cod, visiting Newport, hiking woodland trails, browsing through antique shops, stopping at roadside stands, visiting wineries and relaxing by the sea then this is the place to be. A big thank you to the owners for their excellent suggestions and sharing their lovely cottage!"

"This apartment is amazing -- we loved the space, the views from two porches were magnificent and the owners could not have been nicer. The apartment is perfect for two people, clean, nicely divided and fully equipped. The location is perfect -- easy bike ride or walk to town, the beach or our favorite restaurant -- the Oar. Trimms's pond connects to the Great Salt Pond so it is great for kayaking. There is always a breeze and a shady spot to sit at any time of the day. Absolutely loved everything about our stay. We have visited Block at least 15 times over the past 27 years but always on our boat and anchored in the Great Salt Pond -- it was nice to stay onisland and to still have a perfect view of our favorite anchorage. Highly recommend -- will definitely stay here again."

"The house is not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is just what you want in a beach vaca home. We had a total of 4 adults & 6 teenage girls at the house & it couldn't have worked out any better. The girls loved the upstairs space & the adults loved the quiet & space downstairs. Seth was great to talk to about the logistics leading up to the stay & everything was there for us. It was clean, having the washer & dryer were excellent wash all the towels & bathing suits each day, was a bonus and the air conditioners came in handy for the afternoons back from the beach & sleeping. We were only 1.3 miles from Dunes Beach & the weather was a dream come true. Thank you to Seth & Tracey for the use of the home, we would recommend for sure!"
