  • Family vacation in RI

"The house was great. It was exactly as advertised, well maintained and clean. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. It was a short walk to the beach, the kids loved it. Having two living rooms was great. Teenage grandson liked being in the downstairs LR with his X-box. Granddaughters spent most of their non-beach time in upstairs LR and playing in the large backyard. The adults were on the deck mostly by themselves. The outside shower was great for kids coming back from the beach. Lots of activities and good restaurants in the area. Great place for families with kids of all ages. Would definitely stay here again."

  • Great location for a great price

"We stayed at the condo during off season for a nearby wedding. The area around the condo was basically a ghost town due to the off season timing but I can see how it would be perfect for a summer getaway. You are steps from the beach and from the cute little shopping area. It was generally clean but could use a really thorough once over to clean in the hard to reach places, like under the beds and in the drawers. The condo is quite spacious and had ample towels/blankets/sheets, etc. If I were traveling to Watch Hill again I would definitely stay here. The owner was very responsive and even got a portable crib in the unit for our baby before our stay."

  • 2nd time back even better than the 1st

"Our family of 6 adults and 2 children happily returned to Cliffside this year for another terrific week looking out over the Sakonnet River. It was like a homecoming - we had confidence that everything we needed was right there, from ample towels, kitchen supplies and lawn chairs to where to find the best grocery stores and restaurants. We returned to our favorites around Newport and Middletown, and then explored further afield into Tiverton, which is charming, and Jamestown, which is a boaters dream. The owner is great to work with being very responsive and straightforward with information and explanations and the pictures are very accurate except that they can scarcely do justice to the views. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, being very homey and not fussy at all, and she provides sets of towels in a different color for each person which is great so that folks don't easily get their things mixed up. Having a washer and dryer makes mothers very happy and makes it possible to not have to pack every piece of clothing you own in case of bad weather. The boating and kayaking are fabulous, the fishing is excellent, biking, walking, swimming, EVERYTHING is great here, because there is something beautiful to see around every corner, and water, water, everywhere! Everyone talks about Newport, which is a great place to visit, but Battleship Cove just 20 mins away in Fall River is historic, educational and its own kind of amazing, and New Bedford has a great harbor and the Whaling Museum, and Tiverton has terrific farm stands and lovely shops and a most scenic drive with stone walls of all sorts of picturesque types around its agricultural areas. So the location of Cliffside is quite perfect for staying home to relax with a great view, or heading out in all direction of the compass to explore, or finding anything you need in a very short distance from the house. We would absolutely recommend this property, and this owner to friends and relatives."

  • Beautiful home. Perfect location

"This home is perfectly located...walking distance to Bellevue Avenue shopping area or Thames Street for the Museum, eateries or boat watching. Newly remodeled with stainless appliances and fully equipped kitchen. Two bedroom, two and one half bath. Outstanding deck on the second floor with butler pantry attached. The deck is a wonderful place for morning coffee or a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing. I highly recommend this property. We hope to return again again soon!!"
