  • Great Place!

"It was a great place. It fit our needs and was clean and cozy. The only complaint I have is that the pullout sofa bed was uncomfortable. Thank you! Other than that I totally recommend it!!"

  • Wonderful property and location

"We were drawn to this property by its historic charm and location in Rhode Island and it was everything we'd hoped for and more. The schoolhouse is so beautifully restored and well looked after, but has all the modern conveniences of a family home. Our children absolutely loved the location next to the farm, visiting the goats and chickens and being out in the country. Tiverton Four Corners is only a short walk away and it's very pretty and everyone was so friendly. We're from England so we wanted a base to see the wider area, again the location was perfect for us with easy access to so many interesting places and lots to do and see. The local beaches and woodland walks are really special. Thanks for a wonderful nine-day stay, we miss it so much!"

  • relaxing and cozy

"My husband and I visited this charming home in October with our 2 fur kids. Cindy was very accommodating and was available for anything we needed which we did not. There is a large yard area which was great for our little dogs.Tthis is an older cape house that has been totally renovated but maintains some of the elements of an older home - steps are a pitched a bit steeper then usual. However, once you were used to them, it wasn't a problem for any of us. The area offers an abundance of things to do if you want, or just relax at the house. The town beach is a 5 minute ride away and a nice area to visit for relaxation. Wickford village is nearby and worth a walk around and it's pet friendly! There is Narragansett olive oil there where you can purchase different oils and balsamic vinegars. Much to do in the area and plenty of great food if you want to eat out and nice resources if you want to stay in. We found that the Dave's market which is nearby offers many ready to serve/heat items whatever you may want- all of which is made in store, which was a great option for our staying in to dine. They even had numerous vegetarian options which made me smile :) The upstairs suite was cozy but if you are looking for a flat screen, it is an older set that works fine. Furniture is beachy - wicker etc. but might like something comfy to sink into. All in all , a nice place to getaway but still have access to many different areas- Newport/ Providence, etc."

  • Log Cabin

"The log cabin is centrally situated to everything in South County. It is not on ocean but all beaches are close by, but you have to pay admission fees to all State and town beaches. Cabin does not come with beach passes, which would be nice but would be expensive for owner and likely raise rental fee. The Assoc Lake beach is very nice and a great afternoon location to unwind. We ranged from Westerly to Jamestown easily and went to East beach, Quonnie beach and Narraganset beach. The cabin is spacious for a small group/family to spread out and relax. A casual, relaxed group will feel very comfortable here. The kitchen, dining room, and deck are very functional. Kitchen gas stove needs help with external lighter on some burners. Guest needs to provide all linens/bedding. Dart board is excellent. A/C was not set up, but windows provided a lot of cross ventilation. Master bedroom with bathroom has two twin beds, while other bedroom has full size bed. I'd recommend moving full size bed to master bedroom, if possible. Plenty of privacy, scenic location, places to walk, and QUIET. Owners are very caring, flexible, and thoughtful and follow up with any concerns. If you like 60's blues/rock music check out Perks and Corks in Westerly. Very cool, but low key club. I would be happy to return. South County is a great place."
