  • Cozy, comfy & functional

"My wife and I just finished our second stay at this cottage. The place is very functional and a great place to hang out and relax while being convenient to the center of Jamestown and Newport and all this area has to offer. We highly recommend staying here. The owner is very responsive and interested in making your stay comfortable. The cottage is perfectly sized for one or two couples or a couple with small children."

  • Great Family Vacation Week

"We have been vacationing on Block Island for 15 years since my oldest daughter got married at the Spring House. Now, they have three boys and the other two daughters are married with families! They come from all across the United States for a week of sun, fun and family times. This house is super with space for all, outdoor space for soccer and baseball games (even some water balloons) and Wi-Fi for workers to answer emails and immediate work problems! Relaxing on the porch, banana grams at the dining room table a SUPER Family vacation house."

  • Comfortable, charming, a short walk to the water and good eats in Jamestown!

"I recently spent a long weekend here with my husband, kids, and dog. We all enjoyed the cottage. It was roomy enough for all of us to have our own space but small enough for us to spend time together, too. The expansive one-level layout worked well. The cottage is charming with its intentional antique character. It has the feel of an older era, but with modern amenities like flat screen tv, cable/Internet, and updated appliances in the kitchen. The decor is tasteful and a treat for art enthusiasts. Our kids had a lot of fun playing outdoors in the large yard. There is a fire pit, great for storytelling! The front porch was a nice place to sit and relax. Even our dog had a great time, convinced the bucket of sticks for the fireplace was actually a collection of his favorite chew toys. We're so glad we could bring our dog along on this family get-a-way! We enjoyed walks into town and short drives to some of our favorite locations in Narragansett and Newport. Jamestown was the perfect place for us to stay. We loved being in the sea-side town, able to walk to shops and dining, without the big crowds we found in Newport. There were plenty of things around town to keep us busy, and in our down time, the cottage was very relaxing. We even found a great playground near the cottage that our kids loved, just across the street from a bakery in town. We liked having a kitchen for cooking a few meals, but we found yummy options for breakfast/lunch/dinner all around town, for all budgets. We also found plenty of kid friendly meal options in town, too. This cottage worked with our two kids, ages 5&8. The kids slept on a couch and a build-in window seat. It worked out, but our privacy was limited. While it was nice for the whole family, I think this cottage would also be nice for a couple on a romantic getaway."

  • A perfect rental house for our family!

"This was our family's first time renting 8 Antique and we could not be more pleased with everything. The house was perfect and so comfortable for our children and eight grandchildren. With bedrooms and a bathroom on each floor we were well-spaced and the bedrooms are the biggest we've ever had in a rental. Having our linens and towels provided was a big help. And air conditioning, if needed, was great. The backyard is huge and we ate outside every night. Our beachgoers found it an easy walk to the beach, and our littlest ones loved going out the back of the property to Carpenter's Farm next door where they fed the little goats. The owners are so warm and friendly and available to answer questions. We were so happy with this rental and would certainly recommend it to others and in fact have booked already for next year!"
