"This is a great house that we would absolutely recommend. We stayed there with our one year-old daughter. With a one year-old it was important to find a house that we felt comfortable spending significant time in at night. Although it still had a vacation house vibe to it, this definitely also had that home-like feel to it as well. Recently renovated with a lot of character. I can't stress enough how clean John's place was. I can honestly say that of all my stays in rentals and hotels, this was probably the first time I felt 100% fine about the cleanliness. We honestly could have moved right in. It's located in the historic Point section. It's a doable walk to downtown (about 10+ minutes on a scenic walk along the water). The neighborhood is quiet and residential and has a very authentic old New England feel. It's only a block and a half to the north end of the harbor, if you want to sit by the water and relax/read, etc. There's a small/mid-size waterfront park nearby that is very relaxing. Parking is very easy. The house is very airy and comfortable. John's easy to work with - very easy going and helpful. Great house that worked out perfectly for us."

"This was our second stay at the cottage and we can not wait to book our next stay. It is the perfect size for a couple trying to enjoy everything Newport has to offer. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, with everything you need.
The family in the main house is very accommodating as well, willing to help with anything you need; but also giving you space and privacy."

"Our first trip to Newport-- could not have been better. We felt so fortunate to be able to open the front door every evening and call this place "home" during our stay. The beautiful decor and warm colors welcome you in and make it hard to leave. Newport has so much to offer, it was a delight to be able to explore it all on foot from this home's perfect location. Our favorite casual restaurant, Brick Alley, was just around the corner.
Helen is an absolutely delightful host! It is obvious to anyone who gets to stay here, that she takes great pride in maintaining her house and doing everything to make sure her guests feel welcome.
If you are thinking of visiting Newport, think no longer about where to stay-- it doesn't get better than this!"

"A few of my friends and I were looking for a private spacious home for a nice relaxing guys weekend and boy did we hit the jackpot. The house is gigantic including three floors with the top floor being it's own loft, a screened in porch with fireplace, and a gigantic kitchen/living room area for everyone to hang out. The pool wasn't in service yet but that would be just an extra bonus for people who rent during the summer. The house was extremely clean and beautifully furnished upon our arrival. The owner, Elaine, was extremely friendly and helpful each time we talked. I recommend this home to anyone and will definitely be renting again. Newport was 20 mins away by cab as well, which isn't bad at all!!"
