  • Like living on a sailboat in the harbor

"My husband and I just had a glorious, peaceful week in Little Compton. We loved the simplicity of this home -- it has everything you need, with no clutter, and there are windows windows windows -- almost every bed or chair or place you are standing in this house has a view! You don't need to BE outside to feel outside! We also loved how close we were to beaches (just a walk or a quick bike ride)."

  • BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY! We will definitely stay again!!

"We rented this lovely property for graduation week 5/14. Several friends and family members stayed at the home. It's a beautiful property with so much space -- plenty of room for a large group. The entire house is furnished beautifully and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The owners have thought of every detail to ensure a perfect stay. The views from the deck and yard are amazing!!!!! We are so happy we chose this home for our trip and look forward to returning soon!"

  • Best view in Little Compton

"We had a wonderful stay at this property. We were looking for a totally relaxing week away from our city life and we found it! The house is clean and comfortable. And the beautiful view of Little Pond Cove gave us a wonderful sense of calm and serenity. One evening we saw an amazing moonrise over the cove. The only addition that would make this house absolutely perfect would be a screened-in porch! (There are flying insects a-plenty in the evenings.) Otherwise we would definitely go back!"

Little Compton Travel Tips

Experience a Lesson in History and Stay in Little Compton Rentals

Little Compton is a small farming community located in Newport County, Rhode Island. Little Compton rentals offer a small-town getaway with plenty of opportunity to simply relax and take it easy, or tour the local areas of interest with the family.

Tour the Local Vineyards near Little Compton Rentals

Plan to spend an afternoon during your stay in Little Compton lodging at the Sakonnet Vineyards and enjoy learning about and tasting the local wine. You can take a self-guided walking tour of the vineyards, then watch an informative video explaining the winemaking process. Taste test and discover your new favorite blend, and purchase a bottle to remember your Rhode Island travel back at home.

Visit the Wilbor House while Staying in Little Compton Lodging

Step back in time at the Wilbor House, a structure built in the early 18th century with a Quaker background. Little Compton rentals are located just a short drive from the grounds, which also include a barn and Quaker meeting house built in the 17th and 19th centuries.

The local historical society restored the home and added furnishings from that time period to create the true feeling that you’re experiencing the life of former generations. You’ll enjoy learning about period-specific farm tools while away from your Little Compton lodging; this tour is a must during any family-focused Rhode Island travel plans.

Shop at Gray’s Store during Your Rhode Island Travel

Still open and operating, Gray’s Store was first built in 1788 and caters to those staying in Little Compton rentals. Ride your bikes or take the car to the town of Adamsville to see the store, and bring along the kids to experience the old soda fountain and candy displays. Purchase cheeses, candy and other items to take back to your Little Compton lodging. The store also contains the area’s first post office, which was established in 1804; this stop will surely become a highlight of your Rhode Island travel experiences.
