"After 22 years going to a home in NH, we had to find a new place for our bi-annual Women's Weekend. We rented this amazing home and have found a fantastic place to start new memories. It was such a roomy house - plenty of rooms - plenty of places to sleep. There were 11 of us and there were extra beds to be had. The kitchen was FULLY equipped with everything that you could think of. LOVED the sound being able to go through the whole house when wanted. We had lovely dinners at the dining table that seated all of us very comfortably. The bathrooms were HUGE! We had a lovely evening (though chilly) on the 2nd story fireplace deck - lots of fun and such a wonderfully clear evening - tons of stars to admire. The BEST aspect of that home, though, is the deck. We spent most of our weekend on the deck, chatting, sunning, reading and admiring the unbelievable view. Most of us took advantage of the wonderful weather and took walks/runs within the neighborhood. It was breathtaking throughout the whole weekend. We saw beautiful sunrises and breathtaking sunsets. We will be returning next October to repeat our wonderful experience. The owner was available whenever we needed him - very, very helpful."

"My husband and I stayed here along with my brother and his spouse, it was a wonderful week with memories to keep for the rest of our lives! Sheila was very accommodating upon meeting us, gave us all information we would need to know regarding the land and the cottage, and she also made local recommendations on what-to-do and where to go! We rented bikes for the week at Earl's, and we were able to avoid the $12 daily parking fee at South Shore Beach by riding them directly onto the beach. The cottage was so refreshing to walk into after riding a few miles daily, the AC is great and the land makes it all the more enjoyable. We walked and met some of the animals; goats, sheep, chickens... We will definitely come back again to stay and would recommend to any family of four or a couple's getaway!"

"We were a party of 9,mix adults and children. The very first thing you notice is the breath taking views of the cove and ocean beyond from every window. We all enjoyed walking down to the cove ,the kids loved looking for sea glass , small smooth stones and driftwood. The house's yard faced the cove, was great for relaxing in the late afternoon or early evening after a day at the town beach. The kids enjoyed the beach and yard as well . They liked kite flying and games of tag in the constant breeze we all enjoyed in the yard. The location was perfect too. Some of us went to Newport and others took the children to Battle Ship Cove on our rainy day. A trip later in the week to the Whaling Museum and lunch at the Sakonet Winery al fresco rounded out two beautiful weeks. I enjoyed having coffee every morning in the kitchen and watching the sun come up over the Atlantic in utter peace and quiet. The setting of the house is perfect, The Community of Little Compton is charming. If there is a draw back it this, although there is plenty of town beach space during the week if you plan to use the town beach on Saturday or Sunday arrive early."

"We were so very pleased with our Close Cottage rental! Our group of four adults loved the location on the water, the cleanliness and amenities available and the welcoming feel the minute you walk through the door! We enjoyed early morning coffee in the sunroom, touring the area during the day, and making dinners in the well equipped kitchen in the evening. The beds had lovely linens and we all slept well after being outside for most of the day. The location of the cottage was perfect. If you like beach walks, finding beach glass, eating lobster, visiting Cape Cod, visiting Newport, hiking woodland trails, browsing through antique shops, stopping at roadside stands, visiting wineries and relaxing by the sea then this is the place to be. A big thank you to the owners for their excellent suggestions and sharing their lovely cottage!"
