"The perfect place to sit back, relax, and enjoy your surroundings. We stayed here for a week with 4 adults, a 3 year old and a German Shepard. We also had guests stopping by and spending some time with us. Perky's home is lovely - elegant yet homey and completely equipped with the necessities. Sakonnet Vineyard is delightful and you can find just about everything you might need at Wilbur's General Store. South Shore Beach is less than 5 minutes away by car and perfect for young children. My suggestion is, if you're going to be staying for the week - get the week long parking pass, it's cheaper in the long run. Although there is not a lot to do in the immediate area, you can certainly drive to more touristy locations. That is if you feel like leaving the house once you've spent a morning on the patio! Perky is most helpful with everything you might need. We would definitely rent this home again."

"The location was perfect and the house was so comfy. We just felt so at home! The house has all the amenities our family needed and did provide the perfect place to relax, visit, and reflect. Mike, the owner, was quick to respond to our questions and provided information we requested. It was a very pleasant experience! We will come back again!!"

"Our family of four stayed here at the end of June and it was wonderful. We chose this house because of the proximity to the beach even though it had more bedrooms than we needed. I would say eight could stay there comfortably. There is plenty of room and it is nice and clean. They have a dishwasher, and a washer dryer which is really a plus. We have stayed in places where we have had to hand wash dishes with no washer/dryer so this was very nice. You don't feel like you are on vacation if you are constantly doing dishes in my opinion. We didn't do laundry the whole time but it was nice not to have to pack so much stuff.
My kids, 3 and 5, loved the yard. It is huge but also private. The decks are so nice, we ate outside everyday. I liked that there were a good variety of board games and lots of books to choose from too for those rainy days. The beach is great! It's an easy walk but with the kids we just got a weekly pass to the beach and drove back and forth. (They have a lot of sand toys and snacks and drinks and and...) We often went to the beach two times a day! The kids had a blast playing at the beach and running around in the yard. The both slept so well!
There is not much going on in Little Compton, which is why we chose it. It's not touristy at all, so nice. If you are looking for Mini golf and shopping malls this isn't the place. Although they do have some nice local shops in town and in the surrounding towns. I would stock up at the grocery store in Fall River then fill in items from the general store, the Bridgeport Seafood market in Tiverton (they have the freshest seafood and are really nice folks!) and the roadside farm stands. Grays is good for ice cream and in the nearby Westport MA there are some more great ice cream places. The vineyard is close and really nice and Buzzards Bay Brewing is around 20 minutes away. Nice selection of beers in an amazing setting.
The owner was very nice and quick to respond to questions. I would say if you want a low key vacation of beach, delicious food and drinks, then this is the place. Highly recommended!"

"My husband and I stayed here along with my brother and his spouse, it was a wonderful week with memories to keep for the rest of our lives! Sheila was very accommodating upon meeting us, gave us all information we would need to know regarding the land and the cottage, and she also made local recommendations on what-to-do and where to go! We rented bikes for the week at Earl's, and we were able to avoid the $12 daily parking fee at South Shore Beach by riding them directly onto the beach. The cottage was so refreshing to walk into after riding a few miles daily, the AC is great and the land makes it all the more enjoyable. We walked and met some of the animals; goats, sheep, chickens... We will definitely come back again to stay and would recommend to any family of four or a couple's getaway!"
