  • As pretty as it looks in the pictures

"We rented this place to attend a wedding close by. We were 5 adults and 2 babies -- so it was important that we found something good for families. We are also designers, so we wanted to experience a house with tasteful decor. The place is exactly how it looks in the photos -- super clean and charming yet modern. I was pleasantly surprised that the upstairs bedroom had a king size bed because it's advertised as a queen on the site. It's also convenient that there is another bedroom on the first floor for those who don't want to deal with stairs and/or have wobbly toddlers. The path in the woods leads to a fun swing that kids will love. There are neighbors close by, but that was reassuring to us in case there was an emergency. The owner, Bill, was very accomodating and answered all my questions promptly. Our one regret is that we didn't have time time use the grill, fire pit, or outdoor shower. The entire town is postcard picturesque. If we could change one thing it would be to allow pets since one of us had a dog that would enjoy running around the yard. However, I would love to one day return and explore this place more."

  • A great New England escape!

"I am a Gulf Coast boy, raised on warm sandy beaches of Florida and the beautiful bayous and lakes of southern Louisiana, so admittedly I am a bit picky about my waterfront vacations. A friend referred me to this fantastic place when I was going up to Rhode Island for a festival and some sight seeing four years ago. It was magical! I've been back on three separate occasions with a houseful of friends (total of 4 couples) since then. It reminds me of having my own private B&B with friends where we did the cooking and had the place to ourselves. I enjoyed everything about it -- brisk early morning swims in the pond, jogs around a beautiful community, afternoon kayaks to the beach, pitching horse shoes and playing croquet on the lawn under the beautiful canopy of trees, and sipping a glass of wine while the sun set over the water. It is warm, charming and inviting in every way. It's also an easy drive to nearby attractions and the airport. We all found the house to be very spacious, yet cozy at the same time. Breakfasts on the porch and dinners at the dining room table had plenty of room for our crew. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and offered plenty of privacy, but of course we mostly convened in the kitchen or around the table if not down on the water. I already have plans to bring my daughters, both under 10-years old, up for a summer family get away next summer. I know they will love it as much as the grown-ups have if not more. Highly recommended!"

  • A fabulous place for a group or large family

"I've stayed at this property a few times now, and each time was impressed with the space and the quality and cleanliness of the house overall. The house has three levels, with ample sleeping space on each level, which allows for some separation and privacy when staying with a large group or family. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the property boasts a huge backyard that is ideal for picnics, stargazing and running around with kids. I have recommended this house to friends and family, and would do so again in a heartbeat."
