"The country/residential roads near the cottage are great to explore by bicycle. The cottage is on a peninsula, so there is very little traffic. Also, we put the bikes on the bike rack and went to the East Bay Bike Path in Warren which extends from Colt State Park in Bristol all the way to Providence.
But cycling was not the only thing we did. We also used Steven's kayaks, enjoyed the Audubon sanctuary and took day trips to Newport and Providence. A wonderful and relaxing get-away that the whole family enjoyed!"

"Well this home was simply delightful! What a gem in a quiet town. We rented this house over the memorial weekend to attend my daughter's college graduation. Pleasantly surprised at the decor and the layout of the house. Older home with some nicely done renovations. Two beautiful decks, one on each level. Morning coffee was a treat with some wildlife (bunnies, deer and many varieties of birds) that have made this yard their home. They were not intimidated by us at all. We traveled with my older parents and my sister who is in a wheelchair. The lower level was great for them. Only a couple steps going into the side entrance. The master bedroom on the upper level has a pretty awesome deck that I couldn't see from the pictures. Was a little chilly for us to enjoy the beach, but we did take a bike ride down there and it is beautiful. As with previous comments, can't say enough about the owners of the house. Provided much information about the area and things to do. Were very accessible and friendly when I had any questions in regards to their home or our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"House is wonderful overall. Clean, heartily-constructed, very well-equipped overall with lots of nice touches like a basement stocked with beach gear, a wagon, and outdoor games. All the equipment is excellent, especially the large and clean propane grill. There was even a first aid kit stocked in the supply closet. We felt very comfortable with 7 adults and 2 babies and the layout of the house really utilizes the space optimally. We used the back deck for dining and lounging almost every day, and the outdoor furniture was clean and nice. The owners always responded to any questions very promptly. The location is very convenient to a small beach with nice sunsets and is generally quiet with minimal street traffic, which makes strolling locally very easy. Of note, the house is not close to any of the shops/restraunts of downtown Jamestown. It's a very easy drive to town but it's not walking distance (this was clear to us when we rented but we just wanted to reinforce that for clarity). Overall, we found our week here to be highly enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone!"
