  • A little piece of heaven

"My family and I spent a week in the top apartment. It was very clean and well maintained. The deck off the back is huge and very private . This was our 8th trip to RI and this place has been the best location. You can walk to the town beach in less than 5 minutes. The beaches are great and loved my time there. The location is perfect, very easy drive to Newport and other locations. There are many great places to eat and drink close by. I hope to go back in a couple years. Liza was great and very easy to communicate with. What a great host - genuinely happy we had a great time."

  • Wonderful House in Jamestown... Highly Recommend

"We decided last minute to book a family get away to RI. Being that we live in Southern CT we didn't want to travel to far so we decided on RI. Have never been to Jamestown before we didn't know what to expect. Boy were we pleasantly surprised.... Jamestown is a very quaint beach town with wonderful sites to see and great restaurants and beaches. It offers close proximity to the other RI towns but without the crowds. You can pop into Newport to shop, eat or go to the beach and then leave to peace and quiet. Being that I work in NYC on a daily basis escaping the noise and the crowds is important to me. Now on to the house.... It is the perfect beach getaway. We have 2 boys (1 and 2.5 years old)... Very active and adventurous. The house was perfect for them. There is a nice sized back yard with a play set. My oldest would spend hours out there playing. The best part of the house is it's proximity to Mackerel Cove Beach (2 min walk). Katherine has an ATW - all terrain wagon (which tenants can use) so you load it up with all your beach gear and two minutes later your feet are in the ocean. Traveling with young children is never easy so having these resources available make it a bit easier. I cannot not also say enough good things about Mackerel Cove Beach. It's on a cove so the waves aren't too big. Perfect for young swimmers to get their water time to swim or hunt shells. The best part about it is that it is never overly crowded. I was there last week in Aug (prime time) and the beach was never too busy. Lastly being that the house is so close to the beach you get a cool breeze when sitting on the covered porch. It was never to hot or humid with the fresh ocean air blowing gently by the house. I will be planning another return to this house as it is the perfect family getaway."

  • Labor Day weekend getaway

"This house is so much bigger & well decorated than the picture listed! The back porch was a wonderful location to look at the stars and the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware so we were able to cook our meals while there. The outdoor shower is a beautiful and fun addition to the house. I would recommend this to couples and families seeking a lovely weekend getaway."

  • Relaxing "Babymoon"

"The Almy cottage is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway in Newport. The location is fantastic - short walk to the beach, the mansions and a quick car ride to downtown. The cottage is exactly as advertised - the perfect size, very clean and the owners were welcoming of our dog! We cannot wait to come back again next year!"
