Recent Narragansett property reviews

"We are a family of five and had a great week in Narragansett staying at this condo. The condo itself was spacious and clean, with more than enough space for us all and the location was perfect, we especially loved the two balconies to sit on and look out at the water. It was a five minute walk to Narragansett beach, having the use of beach passes was great and our kids were able to try surfing for the first time with the ability to rent surfboards and have lessons right at the beach. There were plenty of restaurant and shops a few steps from the front door of the condo. I loved that there were places to walk along the water, either on the beach or sidewalk. Family can't wait to go back!"

  • Terrific Beach House

"We've been renting beach houses for the past 5 summers (in Narragansett RI). By far this was the best house we've stayed in. For starters it was clean and bug free. The rooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the kitchen which was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans etc. The dining room table easily sat 12+ people. There is a very comfortable living room as well as an enormous family room. The yard is terrific, both front and back. There are water view decks as well as a farmers porch with ocean view. I enjoyed sitting on the porch with my coffee each morning. This house was definitely built with family, peace and comfort in mind. The owners generously leave 4 bicycles, gas grill and tons of beach chairs etc. for their renters to enjoy. In addition, the house is beautifully decorated with a nautical theme. I completely would recommend this home. Our family included 3 generations."

  • Last minute rental in July, 2014

"We had 8 and for a few days, 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) staying in this rental. We were looking for rental at last minute & we had to split part of two weeks which makes looking on VRBO easy & this place had both weeks open. This owner was the only one of 5 or 6 that I contacted that would split weeks. Yes, the place is older & there are always minor things you could point out, but staying with the positive, you cannot beat the price considering it has plenty of sleeping space. It was nice having a washer/dryer to use, the outside shower is nice, and there is plenty of deck space. If stairs are a concern for real young children, make sure you bring a gate. It was great being close enough to walk to Roger Wheeler beach (parking at beach is $25.00+ per day). I texted the owner on a few minor issues & he sent someone to fix them within a few hours. The weather was great, & we had fun at RW beach which is great for children."

  • Great House!

"This was our first visit to this house and we enjoyed our stay very much. The house is very clean and well appointed. We never felt crowded and the back yard was perfect for playing lawn games or entertaining our dog. It was nice to have beach passess available and beach chairs. The outdoor shower is a great feature and a must have! Hope to stay again."

If you are planning Rhode Island travel in the near future, Narragansett rentals are likely going to be your best bet. Narragansett lodging is the perfect choice for students on spring break, families looking for fun and quality time, and couples on a romantic getaway. The little beach villages that make up Narragansett appeal to just about anyone! In Narragansett, you can spend your day at the beach then unwind at one of the many eateries along the coast.

Natural Beauty around Narragansett Lodging

If you love natural beauty, you will not want to miss Newton Rocks, a giant rock cliff down the road from Narragansett beach and most Narragansett rentals. Its serene beauty allows for the perfect picnic backdrop or family photo. You may also want to take the kids on a stroll along the Narrow River which feeds into the bay.

A Little History in Narragansett Rentals

On a family vacation, it is always nice to incorporate a bit of education for the kids. So, during your Rhode Island travel, stop in for a visit at the South County Museum which is not far from most Narragansett rentals. The museum focuses on the history and culture of southern Rhode Island. Located near most Narragansett lodging is also Point Judith Lighthouse, originally built in 1857; it's definitely worth a visit.

Rhode Island Travel for Adventure

Staying in Narragansett lodging does not just mean old lighthouses and beaches for the entire vacation. There is plenty of fun to be had during your Rhode Island travel. If you love canoeing and kayaking, you are in the right place! For a fun tour, think about taking the family on a river boat ride.
