  • Family vacation in RI

"The house was great. It was exactly as advertised, well maintained and clean. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. It was a short walk to the beach, the kids loved it. Having two living rooms was great. Teenage grandson liked being in the downstairs LR with his X-box. Granddaughters spent most of their non-beach time in upstairs LR and playing in the large backyard. The adults were on the deck mostly by themselves. The outside shower was great for kids coming back from the beach. Lots of activities and good restaurants in the area. Great place for families with kids of all ages. Would definitely stay here again."

"This house was awesome and the owners were a joy to work with. The view was a amazing and it being 2 levels was great for us since we had another family with us. I would recommend to anyone wanting a true New England summer beach vacation."

  • Fabulous Multi-generational Family Vacation House

"Beautiful house that is children, pet, & elderly friendly. We just completed a fabulous week here with 9 adults (one 80+y.o.), 2 children under the age of 3, & dogs. There was a separate area of 2 bedrooms, bath, and tv area that worked great for the family with the small children. The yard is a real plus with room for the dogs to run & a swing set for the kids. Have been vacationing with our large clan for decades & this house was the absolute best fit. Thanks Robin!"

  • Nice little cottage with a big view

"My husband, myself and 2 teens stayed here last week, August 2014. The home is very practical, very close to Wheeler beach and has an extraordinary view off the back deck of the ocean. No a/c but with the windows open we had a lovely breeze. Outside shower was private and fantastic. The back deck provided plenty of space for dining with my extended family and everyone commented about the location and view. The kitchen had all the necessities and plenty of room for all we brought. The whole home was very clean-and I am very picky about these things. My family has done a week in Narragansett every summer since 2007 and I'd absolutely rent this home again! The home owners are very pleasant and easy to work with. My only suggestions to the owners would be to provide more photos of the bedrooms to show how roomy the place really is. I actually was delighted with the steps from the LR to both bedrooms and the privacy this provided. Also, I'd recommend providing sheets, blankets and beach towels for travelers. Otherwise, this little place is a gem! Thank you, J&L for a wonderful family week in your home!"

Narragansett Travel Tips

Narragansett Rentals Are for Everyone

If you are planning Rhode Island travel in the near future, Narragansett rentals are likely going to be your best bet. Narragansett lodging is the perfect choice for students on spring break, families looking for fun and quality time, and couples on a romantic getaway. The little beach villages that make up Narragansett appeal to just about anyone! In Narragansett, you can spend your day at the beach then unwind at one of the many eateries along the coast.

Natural Beauty around Narragansett Lodging

If you love natural beauty, you will not want to miss Newton Rocks, a giant rock cliff down the road from Narragansett beach and most Narragansett rentals. Its serene beauty allows for the perfect picnic backdrop or family photo. You may also want to take the kids on a stroll along the Narrow River which feeds into the bay.

A Little History in Narragansett Rentals

On a family vacation, it is always nice to incorporate a bit of education for the kids. So, during your Rhode Island travel, stop in for a visit at the South County Museum which is not far from most Narragansett rentals. The museum focuses on the history and culture of southern Rhode Island. Located near most Narragansett lodging is also Point Judith Lighthouse, originally built in 1857; it's definitely worth a visit.

Rhode Island Travel for Adventure

Staying in Narragansett lodging does not just mean old lighthouses and beaches for the entire vacation. There is plenty of fun to be had during your Rhode Island travel. If you love canoeing and kayaking, you are in the right place! For a fun tour, think about taking the family on a river boat ride. Other fun things in the Narragansett area include golf courses, shooting ranges, movie theaters, and skating rinks.
