"In Newport for Volvo Ocean Race. Great location close to Thames St, Cliff walk and Fort Adams. Parking outside door. Unit is cozy with single small bath. Decor somewhat dated and kitchen sparsely provided. Considering price, a good place to home base in Newport. After all, one doesn't come to Newport to hang out inside! Communication with owner was very good!"

"Party of 7 adults came for sailing week, for 6 nights. Cant say any more great things about the property, or the owner. Rebecca made us feel welcome from the moment of arrival. She was happy to answer any questions we had about the area, take phone calls at any time, & gave us restaurant suggestions as well as what sights to see while in the area.
The property itself is very well maintained with an enormous patio out back. We spent many an evening grilling out, watching the sunset - private, quiet & relaxed - just what we needed after long days of sailing. The kitchen is STUNNING & large - I believe it was newly redone with all appliances & high end granite. All the rooms & bathrooms were meticulously clean. We had 3 couples , 1 in each of the upstairs bedrooms, & a single in the 4th main floor bedroom. There is a pull out couch available, but he used the Queen blow up mattress provided & was very comfortable. There are surprisingly 2 very large bathrooms, so we had no issues with space. Its a 5-7 minute walk to the beach, & easily accessible to quite a few restaurants. You could go to Ellery House for a week & never use your car!
I cant think of any complaints except maybe that there are window A/c's in each room, instead of central air. But at this time of year, we didn't need any air at all, with the ocean breeze!
We already have discussed booking a week again next year. Thank you Rebecca!"

"We really loved the house and especially the LOCATION. What a great location in Newport! We walked to almost everything we wanted to visit....the harbor, restaurants, the beach, the cliff walk. The rooms in the house itself were well decorated, very clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Parking was also easy thanks to the reserved driveway and parking passes. Our only challenge was getting the internet to work which we managed to figure out part way through our stay. Gary was very helpful and did his best to make our stay agreeable. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay here again."

"Our first sisters' gathering in 10 years was a wonderful event, due in great part to our location. We all love seaports and the location of the house was perfect-directly behind The Elms mansion. Despite a record-breaking winter, and being from the south, the home was warm and inviting. Warm is a bit of a misnomer, as the heat did not work at first. But, unlike many owners, ours was quick to respond and a repairman arrived within 2 hours of our calling (on a Sunday evening!) and we were toasty from that point forward.
The kitchen and baths were well-appointed and the bedding was comfortable. The only drawback was the dining room and living room furniture was not conducive to group gathering (extremely uncomfortable)."
