  • Beautiful place, perfect for large family

"We had a family vacation where 14 adult family members met in Rhode Island. We chose this rental for its location and the abilty to sleep 14 people comfortably - we were able to go for a day trip to either Plymouth Rock, Cape Cod, Boston, Salem, Newport, or Providence and then meet the end of the day at the house. We cooked every night - everyone took turns - the kitchen was large, well equipped, with enough dishes for all of us. We were lucky to have beautiful weather for the entire stay and spent lots of time outside. The kayaks were being used daily (how nice to kayak on the bay at sunset), the yard was large enough for frisbee and badminton and there was plenty seating inside and outside for everyone. We loved the hammock (it was very comfortable) and the ability to make a fire in the firepit. The owner was very helpful and always replied to inquiries immediately. The house was big enough for 14 people to have plenty of space. Wifi worked perfectly, there was a rule book, but there were few rules and they were easy to follow. Security deposit was returned quickly. Everyone had a great time and we hope to come back!"

  • Fabulous location, wonderful home

"We rented Peek-A-Bay during July and August and we just loved this beautiful home. It is ideally located close to both Newport and Narragansett. House has bright, comfortable, cheery interiors, and is well maintained both inside and out. Linens are clean and well stocked. Loved the kitchen-well equipped with top of the line appliances as well as easy access to outdoor grill, a delight to cook in for our family of 6. Property is private and wooded with a nice sunny backyard and 2 large, well furnished decks. The owners were a pleasure to work, lovely people. We regularly rent houses throughout the US and Caribbean and can highly recommend this home."

  • Comfortable, charming, a short walk to the water and good eats in Jamestown!

"I recently spent a long weekend here with my husband, kids, and dog. We all enjoyed the cottage. It was roomy enough for all of us to have our own space but small enough for us to spend time together, too. The expansive one-level layout worked well. The cottage is charming with its intentional antique character. It has the feel of an older era, but with modern amenities like flat screen tv, cable/Internet, and updated appliances in the kitchen. The decor is tasteful and a treat for art enthusiasts. Our kids had a lot of fun playing outdoors in the large yard. There is a fire pit, great for storytelling! The front porch was a nice place to sit and relax. Even our dog had a great time, convinced the bucket of sticks for the fireplace was actually a collection of his favorite chew toys. We're so glad we could bring our dog along on this family get-a-way! We enjoyed walks into town and short drives to some of our favorite locations in Narragansett and Newport. Jamestown was the perfect place for us to stay. We loved being in the sea-side town, able to walk to shops and dining, without the big crowds we found in Newport. There were plenty of things around town to keep us busy, and in our down time, the cottage was very relaxing. We even found a great playground near the cottage that our kids loved, just across the street from a bakery in town. We liked having a kitchen for cooking a few meals, but we found yummy options for breakfast/lunch/dinner all around town, for all budgets. We also found plenty of kid friendly meal options in town, too. This cottage worked with our two kids, ages 5&8. The kids slept on a couch and a build-in window seat. It worked out, but our privacy was limited. While it was nice for the whole family, I think this cottage would also be nice for a couple on a romantic getaway."
