  • Family Vacation

"My family had a wonderful relaxing vacation at this beautiful summer home. The location was fantastic, close to the beach and a variety of restaurants. The house was comfortable for all six adults with plenty of room. The owner was very cooperative and made sure that everything was just right. I would not hesitate to vacation here again!"

  • Very nice water view, serene sunrise

"Comfortable & spacious. Beautiful water view from the kitchen. All appliances in working order. Full complement of cooking utensils and bedroom & bathroom linens. AC & ceiling fans kept the cottage feeling cool and airy despite the humid weather. The grill ignition button didn't work, but we were able to light up using the butane lighter."

  • Comfort, Clean, & Peaceful B&B & Perfect Location!

"Murray House was the perfect getaway home to explore the beauty of Newport! My sister and I were looking for mini-getaway to relax, rejuvenate, rest, and reflect while visiting the attractions of Newport. Murray house was a gem in providing us a comfortable, clean, peaceful, enjoyable stay. We stayed in the Garden View Room and loved our stay so much that we extended our visit an extra night. The location was amazing and the hospitality of Noreen and her helpers was very much appreciated. We walked to the beach each day, visited the mansions up the street from the B&B, got to swim in the pool, had morning coffee in our private garden space, and ate at many of the local restaurants that were recommended by Noreen. A warm & delicious breakfast was served each day and the rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily. The room was spacious and had a mini-kitchen space that allowed us to prepare some meals in the room. Prior to our arrival, I checked reviews on HomeAway and TripAdvisor and I can confidently say that the reviews and pictures were accurate. My sister and I definitely plan to visit again and will continue to tell people about this wonderful B&B that we were so lucky to discover! If you are traveling to Newport where most of the accommodations are Bed & Breakfast Stays...this is a quality place to stay! Enjoy!!"

  • Wonderful House in Jamestown... Highly Recommend

"We decided last minute to book a family get away to RI. Being that we live in Southern CT we didn't want to travel to far so we decided on RI. Have never been to Jamestown before we didn't know what to expect. Boy were we pleasantly surprised.... Jamestown is a very quaint beach town with wonderful sites to see and great restaurants and beaches. It offers close proximity to the other RI towns but without the crowds. You can pop into Newport to shop, eat or go to the beach and then leave to peace and quiet. Being that I work in NYC on a daily basis escaping the noise and the crowds is important to me. Now on to the house.... It is the perfect beach getaway. We have 2 boys (1 and 2.5 years old)... Very active and adventurous. The house was perfect for them. There is a nice sized back yard with a play set. My oldest would spend hours out there playing. The best part of the house is it's proximity to Mackerel Cove Beach (2 min walk). Katherine has an ATW - all terrain wagon (which tenants can use) so you load it up with all your beach gear and two minutes later your feet are in the ocean. Traveling with young children is never easy so having these resources available make it a bit easier. I cannot not also say enough good things about Mackerel Cove Beach. It's on a cove so the waves aren't too big. Perfect for young swimmers to get their water time to swim or hunt shells. The best part about it is that it is never overly crowded. I was there last week in Aug (prime time) and the beach was never too busy. Lastly being that the house is so close to the beach you get a cool breeze when sitting on the covered porch. It was never to hot or humid with the fresh ocean air blowing gently by the house. I will be planning another return to this house as it is the perfect family getaway."
