  • Perfect Block Island rental

"I gave this 5 stars because it was fabulous in every way, starting with the helpful property owner, Brian, and continuing with a spacious, clean and adorable house. The backyard was large and very quiet, the location was convenient to downtown and the beaches and MANY restaurants, and our stay was so wonderful that I would like to return next summer! I went with my husband and daughter and son in law and it was a hit with everyone!"

  • Family Gathering/Wedding

"Our accommodations at the house were exceptional. Was taken with the openness of the house which gave us ample room. The scenery from the various lofts added to its beauty. The house was in perfect order when we arrived and that helped in making us feel right at home. If I have the possibility of returning to Narragansett, I would definitely make this a first choice for my stay."

  • Ocean View = Instant Relaxation

"Steps from the ocean, unbeatable view and a cozy, well-kept cottage. I've known this spot since childhood yet it's a hidden secret gem even to those from the area. Rented this for a special b-day celebration and it brought back instant memories of growing up just a few doors down. A great mix of cottage living at the shore with modern amenities like cable & wi-fi (my 12-yr old twins were happy!) Rocky shore, but still great for swimming and a nice yard to sit, have some morning coffee and enjoy the view of boats, lighthouse and bridge. Thanks, Joan - my days here were filled with memories past and made new ones, too!"

  • Wonderful House in Jamestown... Highly Recommend

"We decided last minute to book a family get away to RI. Being that we live in Southern CT we didn't want to travel to far so we decided on RI. Have never been to Jamestown before we didn't know what to expect. Boy were we pleasantly surprised.... Jamestown is a very quaint beach town with wonderful sites to see and great restaurants and beaches. It offers close proximity to the other RI towns but without the crowds. You can pop into Newport to shop, eat or go to the beach and then leave to peace and quiet. Being that I work in NYC on a daily basis escaping the noise and the crowds is important to me. Now on to the house.... It is the perfect beach getaway. We have 2 boys (1 and 2.5 years old)... Very active and adventurous. The house was perfect for them. There is a nice sized back yard with a play set. My oldest would spend hours out there playing. The best part of the house is it's proximity to Mackerel Cove Beach (2 min walk). Katherine has an ATW - all terrain wagon (which tenants can use) so you load it up with all your beach gear and two minutes later your feet are in the ocean. Traveling with young children is never easy so having these resources available make it a bit easier. I cannot not also say enough good things about Mackerel Cove Beach. It's on a cove so the waves aren't too big. Perfect for young swimmers to get their water time to swim or hunt shells. The best part about it is that it is never overly crowded. I was there last week in Aug (prime time) and the beach was never too busy. Lastly being that the house is so close to the beach you get a cool breeze when sitting on the covered porch. It was never to hot or humid with the fresh ocean air blowing gently by the house. I will be planning another return to this house as it is the perfect family getaway."

Weekapaug Travel Tips

Why Not Consider Weekapaug Rentals for Your Next Trip?

If you are planning Rhode Island travel for your next family vacation, you may want to consider Weekapaug lodging as your accommodations of choice. Weekapaug is a small fire district within the town of Westerly. It is known for being a laid-back beachfront community and has been a popular destination since 1877. In fact, some Weekapaug rentals are historic buildings.

A Little Bit about the Area by Weekapaug Lodging

There are two large saltwater ponds near most Weekapaug rentals. Quonochontaug Pond and Winnapaug Pond are located just west of the beach areas. Both the ponds and the beaches are lined with rock jetties, mostly made of granite. When you stay in Weekapaug lodging, you will stay in a somewhat famous town brought to stardom by popular culture references. The band Phish wrote a song “Weekapaug Groove” and the town is also mentioned in a “Family Guy” movie called “Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story.”

Lots of Sights for Rhode Island Travel

Once you have booked Weekapaug rentals, you will inevitably be planning the rest of your time in Rhode Island. There are many points of interest located near Weekapaug lodging and things to do in and around the area. Obviously, the beaches during the summer months are main attractions, so do not skip spending time at them. In nearby towns, you can take tours of historic homes, visit landmark lighthouses, and see the sights of beautiful New England.

Day Trips from Weekapaug Rentals

Rhode Island travel is essentially a day trip in itself, as the state is so small. However, there are plenty of day trips to be had from the Weekapaug area. If you love ocean life, think about heading to Mystic, Connecticut to spend the day at the aquarium. Mystic is also known for its marina and pizza. If you are looking for a change of pace but want to stick to Rhode Island travel only, think about heading to the beaches over in Charlestown and you will not be sorry.
