"Comfortable & spacious. Beautiful water view from the kitchen. All appliances in working order. Full complement of cooking utensils and bedroom & bathroom linens. AC & ceiling fans kept the cottage feeling cool and airy despite the humid weather. The grill ignition button didn't work, but we were able to light up using the butane lighter."Guest: Liz Z. "My extended family and I have rented this place the week of Thanksgiving for the past 2 years and have had a thoroughly pleasant experience here. We enjoy taking walks along the rocks by the ocean and playing catch with the football on the expansive lawn in front of the house (makes me feel like a Kennedy). On rainy days we watch the waves splash upon the rocks through the large bay window while we remain cozy inside by the fireplace playing UNO. Even in November we enjoy the Cliff Walk and all the shops and restaurants that Newport/Middletown have to offer. We have also participated in the 5 mile Newport Pie Run the past two years. The owner is very responsive and easy to work with which is a plus. We like it so much we plan on coming back next Thanksgiving."Guest: Erin & Dean Date of Stay: November 2013 Review Submitted: December 7, 2013View listing
"We rented this little cottage for overflow. We have been coming to Middletown for our family vacation for 6 years and we outgrew a bigger rental a few houses down the road so my husband, mother and I stayed in the cottage and our 3 grown up children and the grandchildren stayed right down the road. Beth and Dave are friendly and responsive, great to rent from! We have already booked this cottage for next summer!"Guest: Eloise G. "I have been spending summers in Block Island for over 45 years with my family while growing up in CT and my husband and I have continued the tradition with our 4 children who are now teenagers and young adults. Since my parents sold their house 5 years ago, we have been renting but weren't happy with the houses we rented until two years ago when we found this wonderful house to rent. This was the first house we rented on the west side of the island and the sunsets are amazing. The place is clean, stocked with cleaning supplies and great kitchen needs. The house is updated, roomy with a nice kitchen and living room area and three perfect sized bedrooms for the six of us. The three full updated bathrooms are a plus for our family and none of them have that damp feeling you get from some houses on the island that we have stayed at. We love the big deck off the kitchen with great views of the sunsets and a great place to relax after coming back from a day spent at the beach. The house is a 10-15 drive into town and a beautiful walk to New Harbor. We are so happy to be able to bring our two dogs with us on vacation and they also enjoy relaxing on the deck. The owners have always been responsive to any emails with questions we may have had. and check in to make sure we arrived safely and that everything was fine with the house. We are very relieved to have found the perfect house for our Block Island vacation and will continue to rent this house yearly."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 4, 2014View listing
