  • Piece of heaven!

"I have been coming to this beach house for the last few years with my girlfriends. I want to thank the owners, Mike and Lauren, for sharing their little piece of heaven. I always find the house to be clean and very welcoming like a home away from home. No matter if I stay on or off season it's always an enjoyable experience. The pond is a beautiful gem whether fishing, kayaking, or simply enjoying the beautiful view and sunsets. I can't wait to return this spring."

  • Wonderful House in Jamestown... Highly Recommend

"We decided last minute to book a family get away to RI. Being that we live in Southern CT we didn't want to travel to far so we decided on RI. Have never been to Jamestown before we didn't know what to expect. Boy were we pleasantly surprised.... Jamestown is a very quaint beach town with wonderful sites to see and great restaurants and beaches. It offers close proximity to the other RI towns but without the crowds. You can pop into Newport to shop, eat or go to the beach and then leave to peace and quiet. Being that I work in NYC on a daily basis escaping the noise and the crowds is important to me. Now on to the house.... It is the perfect beach getaway. We have 2 boys (1 and 2.5 years old)... Very active and adventurous. The house was perfect for them. There is a nice sized back yard with a play set. My oldest would spend hours out there playing. The best part of the house is it's proximity to Mackerel Cove Beach (2 min walk). Katherine has an ATW - all terrain wagon (which tenants can use) so you load it up with all your beach gear and two minutes later your feet are in the ocean. Traveling with young children is never easy so having these resources available make it a bit easier. I cannot not also say enough good things about Mackerel Cove Beach. It's on a cove so the waves aren't too big. Perfect for young swimmers to get their water time to swim or hunt shells. The best part about it is that it is never overly crowded. I was there last week in Aug (prime time) and the beach was never too busy. Lastly being that the house is so close to the beach you get a cool breeze when sitting on the covered porch. It was never to hot or humid with the fresh ocean air blowing gently by the house. I will be planning another return to this house as it is the perfect family getaway."

  • Family of 4

"This is a great place for a family vacation. My kids loved riding their bikes around the neighborhood, fishing and crabbing from the dock and kayaking over to the private beach. I would definitely recommend renting or bringing kayaks so that you can take advantage of the private barrier beach. You can rent kayaks or canoes from the bait and tackle shop on Charlestown Beach Road. The house itself was very well maintained, clean and bright and although we didn't need it, it was nice to know that we had air conditioning available. The manager was very pleasant and easy to deal with."
