  • Nostalgic getaway

"The apartment was perfect for a lovely weekend getaway to visit my old college with my husband and mother and to enjoy Newport. Very comfortable, with great attention to detail when it came to amenities in all the rooms. The condo complex is walking distance to Thames Street and many restaurants, stores and bars. It's a very good option compared to high priced hotels and inns. Thank you for the professionalism! We will be back for sure."

  • A perfect place for us.

"We were lucky enough to stay at this property for three days for a small family reunion. Our party consisted of adults and children. The location was great, with water views from the front and back of the home. The description and photos on the website were accurate and helpful in choosing a most wonderful place to relax. The home was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Helen and Lori responded quickly and professionally to our questions before and after our reservation was placed. Kids and adults alike enjoyed walking on the waterfront, searching for shells; playing in the yard; lazing on the hammock; and all. Our favorite feature of the house was a continuous bank of windows across the the entire back of the home with a view of the water, and beautiful sunsets. We found a wonderful Market (Clements) close by that provided us with a huge selection of prepared foods making cooking unnecessary. If, however, you enjoy cooking, you will find the kitchen well stocked. As we prepared to leave we informed Helen that she might have to call the authorities to have us removed; we so wanted to stay. We highly recommend this property to everyone."

  • Great family spot

"The pictures did not do this place justice. It was nicer than we had expected. We spent the week with my extended family and the space was perfect for us. My family of 5 took the entire second level which had bunks for my kids and a generous size bedroom that fit a pack n play nicely. It was perfect and quiet away from the noise of the common area. The main living space was very open. It had a great screened in porch and fabulous dining room that fit us all. The king size bedroom was large and perfect for my parents. The upper level bedroom was perfect for us since we had my younger sister who does not have kids so she could hide from the madness. They had a great backyard that the kids loved and this place was about .25 miles from the beach. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars was because we had to do a heavy scrub of the grill and it would have been helpful to have a few more beach chairs, but other than that this place was great!"

  • A Week in Heaven

"Windward Cottage combines more than adequate living space with great outdoor accomodations with its very wide and extensive half wrap around covered porch. We spent a good deal of our time out there with NO MOSQUITOES, at least not at the end of August. Jamestown and Conanicut Island have rich histories dating from the 1630s, the Revolutionary War, but recovered and became a fashionable summer retreat while maintaining a near self supporting country atmosphere. Now with two bridges one can have his and her choices of what to do and explore in addition to the old forts and lighthouses on the island. The cottage offers communal living and kitchen rooms but private bed and bath spaces. A nice lawn surrounds the house in a quiet area of the the North End of the island. The owner could not be more congenial in working with us in the rental process and afterwards."
