  • Nice stay

"Had a nice stay at Deborah's flat. Everything was clean and comfortable. Good Location to visit Newport's highlights like the Mansion Houses and to go out to one of the nice Restaurants. Enjoyed our stay very much - Thank you!"

  • just WOW

"This was a last minute find , we decided to vacation close to home this year and by accident found this listing , who had a last minute cancellation! Great news for us -- this was by far the easiest and best rental we had ever done! The owners where just Great and the cottage was perfect for our small family of 4 -- easy to get to , easy access to scotch beach about a .5 mile from the house , laundry on site , a/c , sat tv, and wi fi -- although somewhat spotty -- but hey your on vacation so why check email anyway? The property is large and the owner lives on site , but hardly noticeable , and the other Great thing is they own a cab company on the island so if you didn't want a car , you still could get around! This cottage was immaculately clean as well , and very kid friendly, you could even walk to the salt pond and see a great sunset. If you looking for a cozy Block Island retreat -- THIS IS THE PLACE! Definitely in our top 3 places to stay on Block!"

  • Great vacation with family and friends :)

"My family had a great experience in Narragensett stay at this wonderfuly located house. The neighborhood is very inviting and a great environment. The house was perfect for our family. It is nice how there is bedrooms located on the first floor and on the second floor, which allows for privacy or a seperation needed. The majority of the week their was 7 us there, but we had some friends visit and the house felt plenty spaciuos with even 10 of us there. The outdoor shower is amazing, especially after a day at the beach. The house is a bit outdated, but it was never anything that made the expereince unenjoyable. It fits the beach setting very well. It is a 5 minute walk to the Sand Hill Cove Beach/Roger Wheeler Beach. We never paid for parking since we had the luxury of dropping off all of our stuff and people right at the beach and then one person would drive the car back and walk 5 minutes to the beach. Great convenience!! The beach near the house is great for kids since it offers a calmer surf and a playground. The house is close to everything including restaurants, shops, Narragansett town center, etc. The hidden secret about this house is the 3 amazing decks. All of them have a unique feel with different views. We spend so much time having breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee, reading, talking, and relaxing on the porches. Overall we had a great experience and will probabaly go back next year!"

  • Welcome to a Home Away From Home

"This is a home you very much would like to consider if traveling in RI's South Coast Area. Very accessible to the major roads leading to Newport, Narragansett, Westerly and the Campus of URI. We arrived and were welcomed to a home meticulously clean, extremely comfortable and complete with everything, including linens; all a family would need to simply rest, relax and have fun. We rented the this lovely home for the weekend, while attending graduation festivities at The University of Rhode Island. Our host, Cindy, was wonderful to work with both during the planning process and our stay. Cindy was patient and helpful answering our questions and directing us to local restaurants in the area. (The Carriage House Inn and the Beach Rose Café - good food and services.) You have got to check out Dave's Marketplace for fresh veggies and fruits, groceries or delicious prepared foods. You might want to consider grilling or have a relaxing dinner on the deck while enjoying the tranquil large back yard. The front porch is perfect to enjoy a good book, play a board game or converse over a cup of coffee or tea. The Village of Wickford is a lovely sea village, filled with restaurants and quaint shops. Our only regret, we wish our stay were longer. Our thanks to the Hall's for their kind hospitality!"
