  • Fabulous Multi-generational Family Vacation House

"Beautiful house that is children, pet, & elderly friendly. We just completed a fabulous week here with 9 adults (one 80+y.o.), 2 children under the age of 3, & dogs. There was a separate area of 2 bedrooms, bath, and tv area that worked great for the family with the small children. The yard is a real plus with room for the dogs to run & a swing set for the kids. Have been vacationing with our large clan for decades & this house was the absolute best fit. Thanks Robin!"

  • 2nd time back even better than the 1st

"Our family of 6 adults and 2 children happily returned to Cliffside this year for another terrific week looking out over the Sakonnet River. It was like a homecoming - we had confidence that everything we needed was right there, from ample towels, kitchen supplies and lawn chairs to where to find the best grocery stores and restaurants. We returned to our favorites around Newport and Middletown, and then explored further afield into Tiverton, which is charming, and Jamestown, which is a boaters dream. The owner is great to work with being very responsive and straightforward with information and explanations and the pictures are very accurate except that they can scarcely do justice to the views. The cottage is very clean and comfortable, being very homey and not fussy at all, and she provides sets of towels in a different color for each person which is great so that folks don't easily get their things mixed up. Having a washer and dryer makes mothers very happy and makes it possible to not have to pack every piece of clothing you own in case of bad weather. The boating and kayaking are fabulous, the fishing is excellent, biking, walking, swimming, EVERYTHING is great here, because there is something beautiful to see around every corner, and water, water, everywhere! Everyone talks about Newport, which is a great place to visit, but Battleship Cove just 20 mins away in Fall River is historic, educational and its own kind of amazing, and New Bedford has a great harbor and the Whaling Museum, and Tiverton has terrific farm stands and lovely shops and a most scenic drive with stone walls of all sorts of picturesque types around its agricultural areas. So the location of Cliffside is quite perfect for staying home to relax with a great view, or heading out in all direction of the compass to explore, or finding anything you need in a very short distance from the house. We would absolutely recommend this property, and this owner to friends and relatives."

  • Destination wedding rental

"My daughter got married on Labor Day weekend, 5 couples stayed here, mostly immediate family. It was perfect. Loved the kitchen and MBR shower, luxurious. Nice quiet area with private deck and parking. Could not have asked for more. Convenient and a great value. Loved it. Proud and happy Dad"

  • A perfect place for a Rhode Island getaway

"I can't say enough great things about this house. My family of four (a toddler and a baby) stayed for a week and it was perfect for us. The house is set back on a private road, so it is nice and quiet but you are still a ten-minute drive to town (with great stores, some restaurants and delicious ice cream) and the beaches. It's clear that the owners did not skimp on any of the furnishings, everything is pretty high end throughout. The house is pretty much all windows with beautiful views of the pond. There is a little sandy area by the pond and dock, which was perfect for my three-year-old to play in, and the house comes with a boat, kayak and canoe to use out on the pond. The dock is also really nice to sit on with two adirondack chairs. The kitchen is well stocked, everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. One downside is there is no bath, just showers, so keep that in mind if you are traveling with little ones."
